What is on tap today?

I am looking for a long swim, perhaps 4,000 meters or more.

4 mile run. DONE.

I may run the 2.5 miles to the bike shop later to pick up the mountain bike and ride it back, with a trail diversion, of course.

did the 530 am spin class.  trying to figure out if I should swim at lunch today.  that would make 5 consecutive days swimming.

btw- because of the advice last week on how to pick up swim time... I had a swim break through and a very different feeling stroke that makes me go much faster!

I have no problem powering(built up some nice triceps) my way through the water for 1500 meters without too much energy being spent but this new approach feels awesome.  3 weeks to the oly and I hope I can feel more natural incorporating the new approach by race time.

First time running with a jogging stroller today.  Daughter is only 1 so can't yet complain about me going too slow.  Got 3 miles in early before the Vegas heat.

Lunchtime swim trying to work on techniques posted by BFD.   Thought I was starting to get swimming figured out but then really started trying to work on not crossing my arms over the centerline during pull.  Big difference and feel like I'm starting over again in endurance.

Well I had planned a medium ride--35-40 miles but it was sucking so I cut it short--24 miles. My bike also got rained out last night. So this week was a wash bikewise. Hopefully I can pull it together for a 20+ miler tommorrow. The forecast says 65-85 with low humidity. Thinking it will be better than last weekend's 20- miler when I finished in 90 degree heat. Keeping fingers crossed.

Aerobic ride 62.5 miles.I had a bald eagle fly right over me..startled me with his huge shadow..but oh so cool...saw two deer run across the bike path later. Riding in nature is amazing.

22 miles on the bike and 1400m in the pool done, had to cut the stength workout short or else I would have been late for dinner.  I'll just add it on to tomorrow.

Skipped the opening ceremonies but watched women's Olympic weightlifting online. The 48 kg (just a hair over 105 lbs.) class. These chicks lift more than me. I was impressed.
