(This is the information that I'll use to determine the team standings.) 2) Let me know if there's a problem. (Summer solstice) What about something in regards to that? The Longest This might qualify.... It's called the "Self-Transcendence 3100 Mile Race" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Self-Transcendence_3100_Mile_Race Here's an interesting article on it: "The longest foot race in the world is 3,100 miles, long enough to stretch from New York to Los Angeles. Those who run it choose a different route, however: they circle one city block in Queens; for two months straight. The athletes lap their block more than 5,000 times. They wear out 12 pairs of shoes. They run more than two marathons daily." http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/wire?section=trackandfield&id=252878... |

Holy crap. And I thought marathon training was crazy!!! I know! Plus, I'm assuming these people don't have jobs -- since they're running for 2 months straight. I can picture it now..... Dee: "Hi Boss, I need to take two months off so that I can run (or try to slog through) a 3,100 mile race where I run around the block more than 5,000 times. OK?" Yep. I'm sure that would go over really well.... |

Actually, since Kristen is on your team, you should go with something like "Thumbs Up Runners" (Take a look at her running pictures, and you'll see what I mean.) (BTW, on my run today, I noticed my thumbs were high enough to qualify as "hitchhiking requests.") |
