Comments: This was a fun run. The first mile down hill was fast! Then there was an out and back along the trail. The trail got a little crowded, but people, for the most part, tried to stay to the sides. What would you do differently?: I tripped over some rocks on the trail at just past mile 4. I was mainly embarrassed, but tore up my hand pretty good. The throbbing stopped after a short while, but once I stopped running, the pain was almost immediate! When I finally looked at myself, I had blood running down my left leg, my right hand and elbow were missing skin and bloody, there was blood all over the right side of my shirt, my entire right side was covered with dirt, and my face apparently had been dirty, but just looked muddy! Next time, don't fall! Without that I think I would have been met my goal of 2 hours. Post race
Warm down: Tom drove down the hill to watch the finish. We weren't allowed to walk back up, so it was nice to have him to take me up, and I didn't have to take the bus! I stopped at the ambulance to get my hand cleaned up. Had a banana and some pretzels, saw the results and came home. Last updated: 2013-07-30 12:00 AM
