I hadn't seen this but thinking about it makes me smile. How terrible British. I'm amazed how calm people are and how so many are committed to carry on as normal and not allowing terrorists to affect them. The way Londoners have reacted makes me proud to be British. I think my favourite quote from yesterday is "We will fight in our trains, we will fight in our buses but we, Londoners, will never surrender!” For those who don't know this is a parody of a famous World War 2 speech.
The support from people all round the world is quite amazing but I think there is only one response Londoners can give to such an atrocity. They must work together to put on the best Olympics in history in 2012. |
