I heard about this from a coworker. But I didn't hear it or see it on a major source. Interesting no?

Last rumor I heard was Hillary being replaced by John Kerry in the president's 2nd term.

Are you for real?

I was thinking Valerie Jarrett since I saw some reports that she's leading secret talks with Iran.

Kerry would be a mistake IMO.

Bill Clinton on the other hand. I could enjoy that.

Someone has to take the blame for Benghazi.  Hillary is going to be the one thrown under the bus.

Hillary said she was stepping down a month or so before elections.

I don't think it will be Kerry, as Dems are worried they will lose his senate seat to Brown. I have heard Hunstman is a possibility.

Sec Clinton has been a clear communicator, which is imperative given her job involves speaking to people for whom English is a 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th language.  Kerry, OTOH, does not know how to end a sentence.

That would mean she's likely out for 2016 because this could still get messy.

I heard it also.. that she is stepping down..

I believe there were a few cabinet members that have said they would not return.

On to better things for her I hope.  I doubt that she would retire and walk away at this point, but she has been in the game a while and maybe she is finally burnt out.

She's likely out due to her being a woman and her age.  Her window has closed for that job.  No sexist here just a realist.

That '04 loser sounds a lot like the '12 loser...ties and great hair are nice, but it all comes down to the ability to communicate effectively.

I think Benghazi threw a wrench into her 2016 plans.  She is getting up there in age, but could still make a run in 2016.

Not to take anything away from Hillary, but people would really be voting for Billary knowing that he'd be the "First Gentleman" (is that what you call it).  Couple that with the historic aspect of electing the first Woman president she would likely have a wave of support from Women similar to Obama with African Americans but not quite as strong.  There's also a lot of baggage there, so who knows.

I think that if Hillary had a chance at the presidency, she would have gotten the nomination instead of Obama in 2008.  I really thought she had the momentum to do it then - if not then, when?  Yes, I think many would have found her appealing due to the influence that Bill would/may have had.

Regarding the age/sex situation: I actually think there's a lot of truth there.  My mother-in-law said couldn't believe she had to chose, but she'd pick a black man over a woman (of any color I guess) any day.  I am not sure anyone was worried about her age.   I did get the feeling that the nation wasn't ready for a woman yet.  And believe me, I am the biggest supporter of woman's rights, I have NO issues with her doing the job.   That's just my take on the nation in general.

Everything I have read about this is that she denies any interest in the nomination in 2016.

P.S. And what is up with her hair lately? I think it's  surprisingly girlish and I really do not like it. Maybe she's too busy for a haircut?

P.P.S The Benghazi deal has not affected on this. I was reading about her plans to retire before that happened. The story hasn't changed.

I don't think it's a big deal. It's rare these days for a Secretary to stay on for more than one term. Clinton and W both had 2. Each served for 4 years.
