Felt good.. I couldn't have gone much faster.. Maybe a minute or 2, or course direction alone. The final leg was tough. Sun RIGHT IN YOUR EYES. Hard to spot.

Strippers help with wetsuit.... Crazy tent! Help everywhere..
What would you do differently?:

I think I could have gone faster, just didn't know what to expect...Thanks

I sat down thinking about a MARATHON NEXT!?!? I probably could have shave a minute or so off...

Put vaseline on the NIPS before starting... Not @ MILE 8!

Comments:

I don't really remember what happen the 1st 1/2 of the run.. Just was plugging along. I ran most, and walked the aid stations (and some hills). I was a little suprised how long it took, but it did not bother me. I WAS HAVING FUN! I was able to shave 20 minutes on the way back into town.. I may it my goal about mile 18 to SUB 13 this race...
What would you do differently?:

?? I know that I can shave a lot of time off the marathon... somewhere around..4:30-4:45... But 1st Ironman.. I had no expectations!!!!!
Post race
Warm down:

WALK WALK WALK.. STAY LOOSE.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Congratulations! Sorry I missed you there.

You listed 30C as the temperature but later in the afternoon down on main street at the Cherry Lane Mall, the mall sign was saying 33C as we watched the bikers coming in and the runners going out. That headwind you felt only kicked up an hour or so after the first pros headed out so they only saw a tailwind coming home. The rest of you had to fight it going out too. Great job!

Thanks Max. It wasn't me though. It was all the feet around me. I just got a draft for the entire race, and had a REALLY HIGH HR.
