COURT JESTER  12230     ROCKFORD, IL |  Subject: The Great American Meat OutJust heard about this on the radio. First thought was that it was something a person could get arrested for. ----------------------------------------- On (or around) March 20 — the first day of spring — thousands of caring people in all 50 US states and around the world will hold informative and educational Meatout events. Events will include colorful 'lifestivals,' street theater, lectures, public dinners, cooking demos, food samplings, leafleting, information tables called 'steakouts,' and a Congressional Reception in Washington, DC. The occasion is The Great American Meatout, the world's largest and oldest annual grassroots diet education campaign. Every spring, thousands of Meatout supporters educate their communities and ask their friends, families, and neighbors to pledge to "kick the meat habit (at least for a day) and explore a wholesome, nonviolent diet of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains." |

Celiacs unite and revolt against this oppression of our rights! We are obviously being discriminated against! We must fight the tyranny of a society attempting to promote this poisonous food. They are fooling thousands, possibly millions of undiagnosed Celiacs into falsely believing that there is no danger in eating this toxic garbage that will kill us all if we do not stand together! I'll meet you all at Trader Joe's and we'll snack on Lara bars while we discuss the massive protests that we will be organizing.

I'm a vegan and although I agree with PETA on some things on a fundamental level, the way they go about promoting veganism is stupid in my mind. People have to want to make the change on their own. It's fine to provide information if people WANT it but otherwise it is just counterproductive. I feel this way about religion too, I hate it when people try to cram it down my throat. |
