Below is Ironman 3. It looks like an improvement on the first two in that he's not just dominating some stupid villain. I put Daniel Day Lewis in the same category as Leonardo DiCaprio who I've only liked in 2 roles. Although Tarantino looks like he's going to make it 3 roles with Django Unchained. I'm not excited, but a little curious about the new Red Dawn. The premise would have to be really far fetched. Of course I'll have to go see Bond, and the Hobbit. |

You didn't like him in Gangs of New York, or There Will Be Blood, or Last of the Mohicans? He's a guy who really immerses himself in the roles. Makes them very believable IMO. |

But I did like Last of the Mohicans. I see why both are considered good actors, but from a believability standpoint, when I see them, I see the actor, not the character. That's why I think Django Unchained will make a good Leo role. Quentin Tarantino has a way of making you see the role and not the actor. Think Reservoir Dogs. Or the Basterds. |

I get the "acting" vibe from him like you do from DDL. My fav Hanks movies were probably Saving Private Ryan and Castaway. Could be that he was much more subdued in those two.
