I am sorry but there has to be other things more important in this world to fight for. This sounds like a SNL skit in the making.

I love how some people don't understand that the whole world doesn't revolve around them and their ideas. Funny how it is usually celebrities trying to make Southerns do something because the beleive it and us telling them to shove it.

It's a riveting issue!  The chicken or the cheesecake?  You decide!

Although as someone who doesn't like it when people criticize another's breasts, you'd think she'd back off a little.

I agree with here completely. Those chickens have been bred to have abnormally large breasts that would never occur in nature.  How could anyone support that?

Wow... all I can say is wow.  And I won't even get started on the breeding ground of hypocrisy that is PETA.  I'm all for (and on many occasions have) supporting the local SPCA, but the PETA folks have just gone over the top.

That's silly.

I eat meat, but I can tell you, I don't like to think about how it made it to my plate. I would much prefer to have the animals living out in a field, then one day Mr. Hunter or Mr. Farmer comes outside and hacks the head off or puts a bullet in its head. That way I don't have to think about the cows herded into a corral covered in their own feces and chickens crapping on each other. Especially with avian flu out there now.

I knew there was vegetable abuse and all but... that is just demented. There really needs to be some legislation.

I had a GF once who was a vegetarian but she ate fish and shellfish. One day she was telling me how her dad makes this great pasta sauce with crabs. I asked her how he prepares the crabs and she said he pulls the legs off and then breaks the body in half and throws it all in the simmering tomato sauce. I was like... man, that sounds like a rough way to go! She says, "what do you mean?" I asked her how she'd like it if someone pulled off her arms and legs, ripped her body in half and then boiled her carcass! Then she started thinking.... "yeah, you're right. I need to stop eating fish and shellfish too."

Mind you, she was already anemic so this new idea of hers was certainly not going to improve her health. You see, she was a vegetarian because she didn't want to hurt animals instead of for health reasons. So, I then told her that even being a vegetarian causes animals pain and death. I told her about how farmers trap and poison wildlife all the time and that there was no way she was going to avoid having a part in that unless she were to escape to some self supporting commune where everything is grown 'in house' without pesticides or chemicals. She thought about it for a day or so and then decided to eat meat! She became a regular meat eater although in moderation and her health improved dramatically... as did her manner of thought.

Maybe I am crazy but, if you believe that animals are caused undue pain and suffering for the purpose of us humans to eat, why is it ok to wear leather, or use makeup with animal by products etc etc. If your going to go that route go all the way. It's all or none BABY.

Well, I don't eat meat (or dairy), wear leather or use animal products. However, I don't particularly feel the need to protest KFC...or have several sets of implants that will be on the earth long after I'm dead...I love that celebrities think we care what the hell they think.

Most vegans are political. I'm not a real vegan, anyway. I eat honey. (I don't think it's wrong to "steal" from the bees. Sue me.)
