Anyone running the Arizona Road Racers Summer Series #4 5K this Saturday at Kiwanis? This will actually be my first 5K where I have tried to actually "run" so I am excited for it.

Must be someone else you are thinking about.  I wouldn't wear something like that.

WISH I could be running some 5ks this ummer, but alas, no.

Good luck Josh, those races are fun and have tons of food at the finish, which I always find funny as it is such a short race

Jerry said he likes that series.  He ran the last 2 and I think he will be at this one as well.

He might be planning on running the course twice to get some desent mileage in.  Claims other people were doing it last time.

I've heard of that. Some of the FirstWave folks run the course a second time after the race as a cool down.

Can I bring child in jogging stroller??? If so, I'm in!!!

Back on topic - I did #2 with Dean (only he started on time and I started 1/2 hour later!) and #3 on July fourth.  The one in july was a paved canal and I saw a couple of people with jogging strollers and even kids on bikes when I did the loop in reverse after I finshed.  I assume that they stollers were ok as long as they started in the back of the pack.  The chip time was start and stop so it showed your actual time no matter when you actually started so I think you should be fine.  That said, you may wish to check the course layout!

BTW- I think Javamom has the entire series on her upcoming race goals for this year!

I had to adjust my schedule a bit but I did the first one and will run the last one. Have a great race everyone!

PJ, I always see people pushing jogging strollers at these events so as long as the surface works then you should be fine.

Great race out there. I saw Dustin (duju) at the start and not again after that as he is damn fast. It was warm and humid but I turned in my best 5K by far at 22:30. Man there were a lot more people there than I had envisioned, at least 500.
