Ok I'm going to try this again. Of course I'm not starting the month well by going on vacation. I hope I get some runs in while in Colorado and the altitude doesn't kill me. Ought to be interesting to see how it works out going from sea level to 7000 feet.

I'm going to jump on board, my running has been a little lazy recently and need a little push to get me back on track.

I too, am going on vacation all next week. There may or may not be some miles gotten, but I would expect not too many. I am starting out with a 10 K this weeekend and I am trying to get 4-5 miles a day in. We shall see.

1st run of July in the books., easy 3.5 to get things going. I was expecting a lot of left over soreness from Sundays race but all went well.

Hi kids.

I'm up to 60.1 now. I had a rough week due to some calf muscle troubles, but I believe I'm back on track! Hope you're all runnin strong

Hope you feel better Jamie. 60 miles is still killer 12 days in!

53.4 miles for me. The heat is here in Florida (Now exactly how stupid is that statement. July....Florida.....what could I expect?). Yesterday it took me 3 hours to run what I should have been able to do in 2 hours. Altered my route considerably to insure I passed multiple water refill locations.

I'm up to 77 so far. Here's one of my favorite places to run, in the morning light.

Now that's a good running spot!I'm only at 36 miles at the half way point, but should be set to start a pretty good increase as the kids activities have backed off a bit! I may not hit 100 but I will at least have the highest monthly total YTD!

Jamie, love the pictures of Molly (and you). She looks like a great running bud. Wish I could take my dog running but he is a dachshund and his back can’t take it. But I love the little guy.

76.3 miles for me and best of all, the back appears to be all better. Yay! Now I’ve got to see if I can get my 100 miles for the month cause we are going to NOLA next weekend and there will be little running and lots of bicep curls as I lift those drinks.

We are getting some very nasty hot and muggy weather in Central Illinois --- I guess it's good "courage training"!

I'm at 64 miles. Had some implants done last week that's taking longer than expected to recover from, so haven't run in one week.

Love that expression of courage training.

Woohoo! You made it! I guess that trip to NOLA didn't set you back too much eh?

Just had my last run of July. 153.2 for me. I've been having some achilles trouble that's been kinda coming off and on, so I'm trying to balance rest/ice with actually training. Only one more month of training til my marathon. I'm doing the Little Grand Canyon in Utah. It was a tossup between that one and the Extra Terrestrial Highway marathon where you start at midnight and run under the full moon on the highway in Nevada where all the UFO sightings are. It's all alien themed and people dress like Elvis. That would have been a pretty funny way for me to do my first standalone marathon, but the idea of STARTING a marathon at midnight when I usually go to bed by 9:30 had me worried

Soon after I got married, I decided I needed to get motivated to work out and focus on getting back into shape. I could barely jog a quarter-mile without needing a walk break.

I think quite truly for the first time I 'get it'. It's not just about the fitness. It's not just about the great little endorphin rush as you hit 5, 10, 15 miles...its not just the medal at the end.
