Champion 7233   | Subject: RE: How Many Races Per Year? in my 4 years total racing, i did 12 my first year, 14 the next, 17 last year, this year will be a lot lower due to moving twice at 10. that includes all multisport racing, and does not include TTs, running races, or swimming races |

Champion 19812 MA | Subject: RE: How Many Races Per Year? 2009: 1 IM, 1 HIM, 1 Oly, 1 Sprint; 1 HIM & 1 sprint as relays 2008: I IM, 1 Oly, 2 Sprints; 1 HIM and 1 IM as relays 2007: 3 Olys, 3 Sprints, 1 HIM Plus I do some running races, started doing Cyclocross in '08 and race most weekends so probably 15 Cross races. |

Next year i'm hoping to do 4 to 5 races, all sprints or olympics... depending on how much I enjoy my first 70.3 in a few weeks. |

With the economy like it is, it isn't like it was 3-4 years ago so I try and keep total race costs under $500.00/year right now which equals 4-5 races total. My choice on running or tri's. This year is 1 half mary, 1 mud run, 1 oly., and 1 sprint.

Only 3 cross races this year? Here in NE there are usually at least 2 per weekend. I usually race every weekend sometimes twice and often mid week training race. One MTB specific race, and doing a 4 race off-road series of 10 milers in the late fall. going to try and do 3 dirty tris next year and more MTB races, probably a similar amount of running races. |
