Expert 1099   Broadlands |  Subject: Women have the higher IQOK, this could be interesting! Women have higher IQ than men! A little quote: “I think women probably always knew deep down that they were the more intelligent ones – but as the gentler sex we were quiet about it and let men continue to believe they ruled the world.” What say you COJ? any truth to this? Perhaps "of those who are in college and agree to take an IQ test, males score higher" might have been the previous year(s) findings with today being "of those who are in college and agree to take an IQ test, females score higher." Considering the historical breakdown of who went to college versus who is going to college today that might be a more honest finding. That would also give a really big boost to there not actually being a higher IQ per gender and having them both about equal as a theory, which is where I stand on belief. The vast majority of these studies underwhelm me with their completeness and confuse the hell out of me with the headline "findings" versus what is actually found. |

I am routinely reminded that I am the dumbest one in the family. We just got back from family beach week. They routinely explain their jokes to me. The jokes invariably involve foreign language puns and people and places I've never heard of. They gave me a little flag to wave when I need the Cliff notes version. Sigh. |

Exactly......my son looks at me all the time and asks, "what are they talking about?"....I just shrug my shoulders. The twins constantly berate him with "we're smarter than you"......he says, "whatever, I don't try to be smart". LOL |
