Subject: RE: Helmet vs No HelmetYeah, it really bugs me to see a family out riding and the kids have their legally-required helmets, and the parents don't. Now, I'm sure there are folks who'll say, "We're not really going fast enough to get hurt." Yeah, but that car over there is. What about the kids who have their helmet on, but not buckled? Like, just before the impact, they'll reach up and fasten it on? Or the triathletes I see on group rides (passing me) who have their helmets on their aerobars? WTF? I see a lot of riders (probably commuters) around town doing this: riding the wrong way in a bike lane, in dark clothing at dusk, sans helmet. Argggg! |
