The Crushers are bringing your part 2 of the Training and Nutrition challenge this month!  For those of you who weren't part of the the January Challenge but would like to participate we'd love to have you.

Rules:

2 points for every 20 minutes Swim/Bike/Run
1 point for every 20 minutes of other activity (yoga, strength, pilates, etc)
1 point per 7 servings of fruits and veggies
1 point per day of drinking at least 64oz water
1 point per junk food/soda free day

Bonus points:
1 Extra point each week where you are physically active every day.
1 Extra point each week where you forego some sort of junk food temptation. i.e. Coworker brings brownies to work and you do not eat any.  You can only get one of these points a week.

Teams:
To make the challenge more competitive we are going to split up the challenge into three teams/groups.  They will be based on the average number of hours you plan to workout each week.  Each group will have an overall winner based on who has the most amount of points!

Group 1: up to 6 hours
Group 2: 6-10 hours
Group 3: 10+ hours

Spreadsheet will be up soon.  Once I get the spreadsheet up please sign up in the Group which you feel you belong.

Here are the Groups & Spreadsheets:

I'm in the 6 to 10 group as I really need to start cracking on my half Mary training. If the blizzards would stay away that would help!

I have not had much success keeping up with challenges in the past, but I am ready to give it another shot. I will be signing up for the 6 &under group and see how it goes. Just moved from Texas to Colorado, so I am adjusting to the altitude and cold, really cold. Maybe I should check out the "crappy weather" training group as well.
Good Luck everyone!

I'm in!  This was a very motivating challenge for me last month even though I only managed to go one day without my Diet Coke.    I've got lots of room for improvement this month!

I'm in! Here's to a healthy and training loaded month!

The first two weeks of the month I have under 6 hours per week and the last two I have just over 6 hours per week so I'm going to wait and see which group needs more players.

I'm probably going to post my points only 1 or 2 times per week for time management purposes, but will track all of the details on a note pad throughout the week.

Glad to be back! And scared... if you only saw my dietary habits last month...

OK, Crushers...  I'm back in for the month of February.  I hoping February can not be NEARLY as crazy as the last few weeks of January!  And I need a challenge to keep me going.  Otherwise I may just hang out in my "wine cellar" hiding away from the cold and snow...  Wink  And my scale and my "shrinking" clothes would not appreciate that.

I'm going to sign up in the 6 and under group...  I know I'm still going to be spending some time at the doc with my daughter and know that more than 6 a week is just not going to happen for a few weeks at best.

And just to get myself started off right, I just refilled my water bottle so I can get some water in before the snowy commute to get my daughter after lunch.  Schools are closing early all over today.  I sure hope I don't get stuck in the car for too long after drinking all this water!!
