Pre-race routine:

1/2 banana, + a mug of coffee. Stretched a wee bit, light jog for a few minutes, then stretched again before we left the house.
Event warmup:

Nice easy jog with Bob for a few minutes, portapotty visit, with stretching while in line waiting, then ~5 minute warmup.

Comments:

Had an amazing run. I've only run 4x in the past 6 weeks due to foot injuries. I'm shocked at how well I did (I'm SURE I'll be paying for it tomorrow!)
What would you do differently?:

Nothing. This is a time I usually do when I'm healthy, much less injured and out of practice.

Warm down:

Easy jog along the course again wtih Nicole and Lauren.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Lack of practice.

Event comments:

Had a great time. Bob did great, I did well, and there were lots of my tri friends there too. I really needed this race to help me get my head back on track.

Sharon, no wonder I didn't see you - you were flying! I looked for you and Bob but it was so crowded. People must have thought I was crazy walking around alone staring at their shirts looking for Amino Vitale Maybe I will meet you at another race soon. I want to try to do one a month I think - they force me to get out and train!
