I just do not see the need considering I have made it 36 years without one. It may help that FL typically does not suffer the flu as badly as northern states. You may now attack... But even if that weren’t the case, I’m not afraid of needles or allergic to eggs, and I’ve never had a bad reaction to the shot, so I don’t see the downside to getting one. |

If I am lucky the person next to me got one. And when I did work in the office I just stayed home when someone else in the office was sick. If they weren't going to stay home and not affect anyone I just took matters into my own hands. |

You are getting vacinated with a combination of 3 strains to protect against those strains. The vaccination may provide limited protection against other flue strains depending on how highly concerved the target is. The 3 strains are chosen each year by the CDC as the strains most likly to show up in the coming flu season and yes they are wrong sometimes. |

Ha-ha, I should have said I don't believe they really work. I've seen plenty of people get flu shots and still get the flu and plenty of people don't get flu shots and never get the flu. It's really just a crap shoot. Also: "Do flu shots have mercury in them?
