Subject: Classic BT Threads

In the one year that I've been on BT, I've noticed that certain topics seem to come up over and over again.  Today I was thinking about what some of these "classic threads" are, can you think of any others?

As a disclaimer, this thread is not meant to poke fun at those who may have started or contributed to these topics in the past.  If anything, it reaffirms my sense of "community" in that we all have the same questions/concerns from time to time.

  • "Why Do Guys Shave Their Legs?"
  • "Should I Shave My Legs?"
  • "Should I Buy a Road Bike or Tri Bike?"
  • "Of These Bikes Which I Have Not Yet Ridden, Which Do You Think I Should Buy?"
  • "Why Do I Keep Losing The Yellow Thing From My Profile Design Aero Bottle?"

Wow no one has said "Threads About Nothing" yet??

Quiz threads were all the rage about a year ago... old and busted now I guess.

The typical January thread about the overcrowded gym and along with the overcrowded gym, what ticks you off that people do in the gym.

Should I do a marathon before an Ironman

Am I an Ironman if I do a non-Ironman race

Here's one from way back that I remember - "Doubts about Pot" -

"i am just curious if smoking pot can be a problem to my overall performance as i do not want to be an elite athlete but i am training for finishing an ironamn in 14 months"

Crop dusting on the treadmill -

"Did my run on the treadmill after work today. I'm just putting along when I notice the guy next to me bend down and act like he was adjusting his shoes. Next thing I know I'm hit by a horrendous SBD. What the hell do you do? Call the guy out and embarass him or just remember never to run next to him again."
