I really wonder if at this point anyone has NOT already made up their mind but here we go for round 3.  I'm betting who knew what and when about Libya will be a BIG topic.

Over/under on # of times Obama says "we got Bin Laden?"

I think this debate will be underwhelming for both sides.  Foreign policy has not been a strong suit for Romney, clearly the foreign policy prowess of the current administration is now swirling the drain.

"We got Bin Laden" may be a catchy slogan, but it's not a foreign policy and Al Qaeda is in a resurgence which kinda hurts the whole "We got Bin Laden" value.  When the people in the crowds outside several ME embassies were chanting "Obama, Obama, we are all Osama!" and they're flying Al Qaeda flags over Benghazi, that makes saying "we got Bin Laden" a bad foreign policy.

I saw the movie ARGO last Friday and it occured to me that Jimmy Carter had a great foreign policy record up until that moment and his undoing was thinking he really was a foreign policy guru which he was not.

Now we have a president who thought he was a foreign policy guru and we have several embassies under-siege by radical extremists who in several cases have taken over countries.

I doubt Ben Affleck and his producers realized that they were going to be making such a good commercial for "Not Obama 2012"...

My prediction, both sides swing a bit, Scheiffer shows significant favoritism to Obama, Neither side really draws blood.  FoxNews calls it a Romney win while every other news outlet hails Obama as the Comeback Kid...etc...etc... Polls don't move an inch.

Good Monday Night Football game and Game 7 of NLCS.  I predict dismal ratings for this one.

No doubt-- an important NFC North matchup, too. I think this debate gets demoted to DVR-delay status.

It's amazing to me as well that anyone could have not made their mind up by now.  However, I was waiting in line to see Gearboy's favorite politician (Paul Ryan) yesterday and this couple behind me were going on and on about how they just can't decide who to vote for.

I wanted to smack them, but I didn't think that would be a very good technique to win them over.

That pretty well sums up my thoughts. This will be the least important of the debates. Scheiffer will make an as$ out of himself as usual and nothing will change.

I'll be watching the game, gotta see what my Pack is up against.

X 3 on Bob Schieffer. Couldn't believe this when I heard he was moderator. He's obviously biased to the left. NOT neutral. I think about as much of him as I do Air-Natl-Guard-Rather. Maybe he'll surprise me.

Also agree that this debate is a non-factor...... like someone asked: who in the world doesn't have their mind made up. Ok, a few... a very few.

Seems this debate on Foreign policy spent quite a lot of time in the foreign land of America. Where is this foreign land???

Wherever it is, it has lots of "Roooads and Britches".

Oh and a fact check for Obama.
We have more bayonets now than in 1915.
There were only 100,000 troops in 1915. There are 180,000 Marines now who all know how to use a bayonet and won't go in harms way without one.

I can't believe Romney said we would absolutely be out of Afghanistan by 2014 after lambasting the President in the last debate for setting a timeline for withdrawal. Unbelievable.

I missed the first hour, my son was testing for his MMA belt. Thought watching him fight would be infinitely more exciting

Yeah and grapple. It's primarily Mui Tai, but his instructor also studied TKD.

I made my ex drive so he didn't sweat all over my car seats! 16 year old boys can really stink.

eta: so it's on topic, politicians stink too!

I caught that too.  I kept waiting for him to say out by 2014 "but" i'll stay flexible or something like that.  Nope, he straight up said out in 2014.  Personally, I'm totally ok with that but it is a shift from his other debate.

Awesome. I did a bunch of the disciplines over 10 years (wrestling, boxing, judo, sambo) which means if someone so much as touches me, I go down like a sack of potatoes.

Does anyone want to explain how "the military isn't even asking for more $" isn't easily responded to by saying "uh yeah, they work for you and they ask for what you tell them they can ask for."

Overall I think Obama won on points and was very agressive.  However, Obama put his foot in his mouth a few times with the aggression.  It didn't seem like either one of them really wanted to talk about foreign policy that much, which I found kind of funny.

My guess is the net will be the same as the second.  Slight Obama win overall, Romney win on individual issues, no poll change.

The whole Navy has boats that go under the water and bayonets thing will likely come back to bite Obama.

I know Gen Allen personally. If he says 2014, I would support him too. Same for both Gen McChrystal and Gen Petraeus. Those guys know what they're talking about.

I think a lot of Rs are ok with ending Afghanistan because we know the history of empires falling apart in those mountains.

No additional troops in Iraq is a bad idea though. We could've left an airbase in Al Asad and a Brigade just as a presence in the ME. Iran wouldn't be able to do anything in Iraq if you put 24 planes and 800 troops in Al Asad.

Fox News called out Obama on the leaving troops in Iraq fib.  Obama wanted to leave troops, tried to get troops to stay, and the agreement fell apart.

One thing about a leader is to lead by example.  Reaching across the aisle would have made sense over the last four years instead of waiting for people to come to his greatness.

And continual overtalking someone else is not Presidential.
