Got Wahoo?  5423   San Antonio |  Subject: best compliment you've received lately....What is yours? I'll start: after lunch today with a lady I haven't seen in about a year who invited me to lunch - unexpected all the way around, made my day I have to admit.... "You look fantastic Thomas!!! Time is definitely on your side. Your skin is flawless and your eyes are the color of a the water off the Maldives. Smart too!!! Let's do it again soon." |

Seems like she wanted a little more than lunch my man...... My latest compliment was about my weight (I've dropped 40 pounds in the last year and a half) and saw some employees at an annual meeting last week. I got a lot of "where'd you go" and the like. It is always nice to hear. |

At the LTS and the owner said I looked pretty fit even after I told her I was 10lbs over my first IM weight. Also she compared my endurance levels (being high) as compared to her TNT triathletes that are getting for a June race. |

When we told them we are coming up on 12 years, their jaws dropped and then they asked if we got married when we were in HS because we look so young. I'm 36, she is 34. |

My mom told me the other day that I am my Dad's biggest achievement/greatest joy and pride, and that when I call him at the office "to talk" I make his whole stressful world go away for a bit. My dad has worked so hard for me, has defended me to the end even when I was giving my mom, teachers, etc fits, and was my number 1 support when I came out. He treats Kathryn like his 2nd daughter and has done 100% of his fathering responsibilities at 100%. To make him proud is my life's mission. I guess it's not a compliment like all of the above, but it made me feel good to know I haven;t squandered the gifts he has given me. Of course, 3 weeks ago I was ready to murder him, but that's why we are such a good pair. We are impossible! |

I was actually kind of sad when I fixed it, I always liked telling people that I had lost a bunch of weight and seeing how impressed they were. |

Last week I went to breakfast after a swim workout in a black tanktop and as we stood up to go I guess I pushed off the table in a way that showed off my swimming shoulders. My friend, who had given me complements a few months ago when my training started to show, said, "ok.. NOW you're just showing off!" In response, I of course flexed my biceps and smiled. |
