FYI.

The last 2 days I've been having intermintent difficulty with BT loading whenever I access my log, go to forums and post messages/ blogs.  Doesn't matter if I'm using Firefox or IE.  I can open new tabs in either broswer and go to other sites without any issues while BT page says "waiting for reply".  Just took 68 seconds for my log page to load up and another 34 sec for me to get the page for this new message, but it loaded the previous forum page without any issue.

I'm having the same issue recently.   Especially after having the browser open for a while.

If I open a separate browser window, it is fine.

Possible java issue or threading problem?

Well, you're both in Florida. What are your ISPs?

Most likely it's an ISP problem which has to do with some interruption to the bandwidth from their location to our server.  I have been monitoring both the SQL and webservers the last week and they are well below being pegged-even at peak volumes.

Your ISP may have ease of loading other websites as their servers may be in a different geographical location and there is only a bottleneck between them and ours due to whatever.

Though if ANYONE else has had these issues, please report them.  We may be wrong.

Same problem from Milwaukee, both at work and at home. Not constant, but frequent enough to notice.

Just thought I would post a positive result for comparison.

BT is always fast (faster than RT on most days) both from home and work. My ISP for home is Cox (Cable Modem with Guaranteed LOS) and for work is Sprint. (Over a T1 Line)

I did notice a bit of a speed improvement in the forums when you removed the externally linked images btw.

I did confirm CubeFarmGopher's issue.  If I have BT open on my browser then leave my computer unused for over an hour and then try to go back and reuse the open browser of BT, there is a significant delay in getting it going again...never and error, just a delay...but only with working with an unused browser of BT.

I'm not sure if this is a browser issue or what...I haven't verified how this works on other sites...will try to find out.

Same problem started for me w/ BT only around midnight last night.  Never a problem before.  I always leave lots of tabs open on Firefox.

I couldn't get BT to load at all last night from home 11PM on (Comcast Cable ISP). A few times I would get the BT blue screen, but it would continue trying to load, but with no success. Same thing happened this morning from home. Other websites worked fine.

Z lives about a mile away from me and she had the same problem.

I had a long wait also here in Pewaukee WI, I'm using RoadRunner. Tried using BT last night, no luck except for around 6ish I waited long enough to enter my workout for the night.

This morning I tried before I went to work, same thing, it was just hanging there.

Got to work, and it's fine here, so sounds like Time Warners RoadRunners suckin right now, or it's just a fluke that the website servers are responding correctly now all of a sudden?

I also had a number of problems last night starting around 8. I would have to hit refresh 4-5x to get a page to load. I tried new browsers, restarted my cpu and got nothing. It was the same issue this morning from home. Home ISP is Comcast. When I got to work, it worked briefly and now I am struggling with the site. The browser finds the page...it just can't load it.

We're checking it out to see if there are any datacenter issues.  Keep you posted.

I haven't had any problems with Time Warner Cable in Ohio.

I'm having the same delay problems from home.  The browser eventually times out.  I'm using IE.  My ISP is TimeWarner (Road Runner) cable modem.  Location is Dallas.

From work everything works fine.

For anyone who's experienced this:

There should be a "waiting for..." message in the Status bar at the very bottom of your browser.  What does that say when this is happening?

I'm at work now, having no issues (different ISP) so can't tell you.  Wish it was slow here so I'd get work done   We have comcast at home.

Of course, it works perfectly at work! I will let you know when I get home. A few times it did load and I did get the upper left hand corner of the main screen, but that was it.

I have seen two different things.

waiting for www.beginnertriathlete.com...     AND

waiting for pan.beginnertriathlete.com

The site seems to be working for me now.  It was working about 5 minutes ago also but then stopped and everything timed out, again.

Our servers are testing fine. BUT...

There's a bit of a semi-perfect storm brewing on the internet in the USA today. See below. The AT&T issue is the main cause of most people's pain. Check this: http://www.internetpulse.com/

For reasons understandable only to major network geeks, the Milwaukee area is experiencing a big chunk of the problems.

1. AboveNet, a major ISP, experienced a fiber cut in southern California which effected their 10G link to Seattle.

2. Level 3 experienced a fiber cut in the Dallas to Houston area.

3. AT&T is having massive issues with reach ability to the majority of Tier 1 carriers. If your internet traffic goes through AT&T at any point, you will experience a slow down.

So, why do some sites and or people not have this problem? Either their traffic isn't being routed via a problematic pipe, or for larger sites like CNN, Google and the like, they have copies of their site stored and served from many different data centers around the country and the world.

*Attached is the last 24 hrs in question for future reference of why several people had access problems...

Thanks Mike/Ron!!!. Since my last post, I haven't had a problem. And why doesn't BT have copies of its site in different locations around the world? I thought world-domination would be higher up on the to-do list.

"waiting for reply" is what I get.

I'm still having issues today, thanks AT&T!
