Champion ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Who's your team and of the players that will likely be available at the time your team drafts, who would you like to see them draft on Day 1? I'd like to see the Pack take a solid CB along the lines of Brandon Flowers, Aquib Talib or Antoine Cason at Pick #29. Then I'd like them to pick up an OT (Sam Baker?) and backup QB (Flacco, Brohm-- that may be a little wishful) in Round 2. |

They don't need another young QB, they need a grizzled vet to come in and teach the youngster how to play the game. I'm a Cowboys fan (yes, looking forward to the second-annual beatdown, different locale, same QBs, same outcome) and I know Dallas is looking at Felix Jones from the Razorbacks, but only because Jerry Jones (ahole dbag) has a woodrow for anybody from Arkansas. Personally I'd like to see the 'boys get some O-linemen as theirs aren't getting any younger. Or perhaps some speedier DBs and someone who can COVER A FRICKIN' RECEIVER! |

Champion ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Heard an interesting strategy on ESPN radio last week. Let's say Miami isn't willing to pay the $$$ for overall #1. According to the report (don't remember the commentator), they can wait the 10 minutes, pass and #2 picks, then #3 and so on. When they're reay to jump in, they can "Oh wiat, our turn was missed" and interject into the order again. Would be a devious way to avoid bankrupting your salary cap on an unknown (Ryan Leaf) with the overall #1 pick and still pick up someone you need. Especially for this year since there's not tons of super picks out there. Would love to see the Steelers get the cornerback from South Florida. Jenkins? Scooby: Brohm MIGHT be there at 59th pick (whenever the pack have there #2 selection). Flacco should go sooner to maybe Philly where he might even compete for #1. McNabb defending his own job? Could be...Injury prone, older, not too well liked anymore..... |

REBUILDING SINCE '57!! Never understood this. A WR touches the ball, maybe 10x /game. Running back is 35 carries. Calvin Johnson I get, but sometmes, I really wonder why WR is SO sought after. It's almost always a dicey pick. Especially this year where both best WR's are pot heads and liars. |

Slower Than You ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() The Ain'ts need to pick up someone who can call the right plays when they have the lead late in the game. Or a QB who will audible and change an asinine call fromthe sidelines. Other than that? A replacement for Deuce, or receivers that will catch the ball when it hits them in the hands. |

Dood, be you crazy? If the Saints pick an offensive player with any of their first three picks I'l personally drive to NO and kick Sean Peyton in the booty. Cornerbacks and defensive linemen are major needs; best (realisitic) possibility we can hope for is for Sedrick Ellis to fall to us. |

They don't need another young QB, they need a grizzled vet to come in and teach the youngster how to play the game. That's not what I'm hearing since Talib admitted testing positive for marijuana several times during college. In fact, multiple mocks have him dropping into Round 2. The Pack absolutely does NOT need to sign some retread QB. Rodgers had three years to learn from the best-- now it's sink or swim time. Why teams continue to sign guys who were never very good to "mentor" young QB's is something I'll never understand. What are they going to teach them? To be as old and slow and useless as they are? Nah, I want to roll the dice on upside in case something happens to Rodgers. And besides, Favre already said he'd un-retire if we needed him, right? |

They woulda been 12-4 (or better) if they could: a) Catch the ball when thrown to them and b) Not give the game away in the last 5 minutes. |

Veteran ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() on the clock are the Rams. I would like either Long's , but I have a feeling they will go with Dorsy to sure up the middle. I like him but if the rams take him I am sure he will blow out his bad knee in the rookie camp. |

Elite ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() This is my opinion, feel free to flame on and on and on. The top 10-15 picks are like 55% chance of good long-term starters, and it ramps down from there. WHATEVER pick you have, forget your "needs". Your GM needs to pick the player they think is the best possible player on the board. Way to hard to start with a 55% success rate, and then pare that down further to "well, we also need corners, left tackles, etc, and have a glut at Defensive tackle. We'll avoid the nice looking defensive tackle in favor of the corner that's a few notches lower but fits our need." Some of this fades as you get lower in the rounds and perhaps wanna take a flyer on a return guy or other need position. First 3-4 rounds though, I say develop a board and stick to it like glue, virtually ignoring supposed "needs." |

I'm still convinced someone put a voodoo hex on them when they held that mock funeral for last season's achievements. They did well by digging them up, but it was too little, too late. Ohhh, I get to come home this weekend. I WILL be stuffing my face with a disgusting amount of boiled crawfish. I hope they're at least decent this season. Edited by bcart1991 2008-04-22 1:59 PM |

Back on topic: Wouldn't it be GREAT if Dorsey slipped down the draft line right into the Saints' lap? Other than that, we need some fast DBs that can actually cover people. Some of their blown coverages were downright embarrassing. Edited by bcart1991 2008-04-22 2:32 PM |

I would rather Jerry take Felix as opposed to pulling some kind of deal to get McFadden early. |

There's lots of 'em this year, so take a DB or an OL first round then pick up a quality RB in the second round. Jones is all about flashy players and the highlight reels because he knows what puts bootys in the seats, but without a solid O-line you might as well draft a kicker in round 1. |

It was bad enough a piggy owned the 'Boys, but to bring in the football anti-christ in Switzer was too much for my Longhorn blood to handle. |

Master ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Eagles fan and hoping for Desean Jackson if they stay where they are. They lost 2 games directly because of their punt returns last year and didn't help themselves once with a punt or kickoff return all year. Seemed like they were always giving away 10 to 20 yards of field position. Also wouldn't mind if they move up for the OT from Vandy as their's are both 34 or older. |
