Got Wahoo?  5423   San Antonio |  Subject: ***Stacie (luv2ride) is in the hospital***She initially had severe migraines, and apparently a clot in her brain and I guess a seizure today. I assume all this is correct (thanks Julia!), but some info is third hand and Stacie is not answering her phone....
Please drop her an inspire if you know her (she has an IM in a few weeks on top of it all) and if you don't know her, drop her an inspire anyway, http://beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/training/index-weekly.asp?memberid=4985

Welshy Yes she has a blood clot, had a seizure and is in and out of consciousness in the ICU. This is not just headaches. Please keep her in your thoughts. |

Champion 5850 Michigan | Subject: RE: ***Stacie (luv2ride) is in the hospital*** Hey All. Here is the latest. Another CAT Scan this morning. No big changes. In other words, no news is good news. The bleeding has stopped. The clot has not increased since yesterday. They will stay with the Heporin for a little bit longer and then they hope to transition to the Cumidin(sp???) I did talk to Stacie for about a minute or so. So that is great! Her family is here. I told her about all her inspires. That makes her hapy too. She will be in CCU thorugh tomorrow, and then proablly moved into the general unit for a nother day or so. For the short term, she needs her rest, so the family would like to limit visitors. She will fefintelly need the support towards the end of the week, and the weeks to come. Feel free to hit me up on the PM with a phone # and I'll call and give the live time update. Champion 5850 Michigan | Subject: RE: ***Stacie (luv2ride) is in the hospital*** The latest per Julia who visited her today. She has more than one clot, a few in fact. They are not bleeding anymore and are not getting bigger, yet they are not smaller. She will have more tests tomorrow to see if there is any change. If there is not enough change to make the Drs happy they may go in surgically to "clean things out". She will be in CCU for another two days or so, then move in to a regular room. Obviously the IM is out and she's pretty bummed about that but she's pretty lucky she caught this when she did. Keep the good thoughts coming, please.
