Subject: RE: What are your goals for October and the Off-Season?So glad you asked ... I was thinking about this today. I didn't race this season (no more running, doc says ), so my "training" was more of a "don't gain weight" plan. But I'm finding there's a whole new world out there: Aquabike, swim meets, being punished by evil personal trainers ... so I plan to actually increase my activity this month, and for me that looks like 600 minutes a week (5 hours ):
1. Take care of my ankles (recovering from sprain in one, bursitis in the other )
2. Swim, swim, swim. Continue with one-on-one lessons and check out Masters program at my gym
3. Strength train more consistently (at this point, that means one hour a week ). Hire a personal trainer?
4. Minimum four hours of cardio a week -- Spinning, swimming, elliptical |
