On a lighter note:

Did you like Michelle O.'s dress? I thought it was horrendous. Even the Today show commented that they didn't like it.

I've liked most of her outfits throughout the campaign. You think she could have picked something better for election day.

It was not flattering and your eye was drawn to her mid-section....what woman wants that?

I liked it. Looked classy and it wasn't a suit.
My guess is that she had on a bullet-proof vest under there so it couldn't be as form-fitting as some other stuff she's worn in the past.

Kinda ruined the moment when the Obama family walked out on stage and I was trying to be all inspired and misty and instead, "Holy crap, Michelle, what the hell are you wearing?!" came out instead...

Sitting with my two teenage daughters, who were very interested in the entire night. We were enjoying the history and the moment and both of them almost at the same time said "oh, my... what is she wearing? That's just WRONG!?"

"Horrendous" was exactly what went through my head when she walked out. That was beyond ugly.

No bullet-prrof vests.  The stage had bullet-proof shields along the sides.  The arrangement had the stage facing a VIP section and then a large, heavy-security media tent.  The main crowd was off to the stage-right and most of the crowd watched on jumbotron monitors.  From the left and right were large, very thick plexiglass plates.

I didn't notice Michelle Obama's dress because of Jill Biden's bright yellow suit-outfit thing.  She took center stage and was like a flashlight compared to everyone else in dark colors.  What was that all about?!

Zilla - 2008-11-05 10:58 AM That dress was awful.  It looked like a maternity dress drawing all the attention to her tummy.  Ugly, ugly.

Or maybe the dress was made of material that registered "hot zones"?

Maybe it was her response to "Mommy, wear a dress that's the same color as mine (x2)"

I think she wanted to match what her family wore.  Obviously she doesn't know that you can't go wrong the general rule of thumb that you can never go wrong by wearing a classy black dress!

The real question is, who is the ONE person who voted "yes"?  Reveal thyself!

Seriously, no, it just wasn't her at all.

She sort of looked like a walking Rothko. For that reason, and that reason alone, I kinda liked it. But other than that, she could have (and has) made a better choice.
