Subject: RE: Marine Corp Historic Half MarathonThanks everybody. After the run, I went and got a massage and when I went to get my beer, it was so cold out there. I was walking around shivering drinking a beer. What a complete difference than 30 minutes prior (when I was running ). Anyways, about the leg; it was a little achy on the right leg bone, about 2 inches below the knee cap. Strangely enough, today it felt better than it has for the previous 2 weeks. I don't know why, but I'll take it!!! My training prior to this race was bad, besides taking the week off from running because of my achy leg, I was swamped working 12 hour shift due to H1N1, so I was lucky to get much sleep, not really running or doing much of anything else. |

Got up at 5 AM and had a piece of peanut butter toast and drove an hour to the event.
Because traffic was so heavy, I was not able to warm up much. Plus, it was kind of chilly so a quick jog was all I was able to fit in prior to the start
