After swimming in a lake do you wash it just like any other article of clothing or do you need to do somthing different with it?

I just hang mine up in the shower and let plain water rinse it out.

Fresh water in the shower for lake swims but I have a special "shampoo" (came with my suit) for when I go in the salt water. You can use the shampoo for the chlorine too (I've never used mine in a pool).

Regular shampoo works fine.

The only wetsuits of mine that start to smell bad are the dive suits that I pee in a LOT more than my tri wetsuit.  And that takes a few days on a liveaboard (3-5 dives a day) to get it really stinky

They make wetsuit wash stuff... but shampoo works just fine.

I hose mine off outside and then let it airdry.  I've probably worn it (in lakes exclusively) 25 times and it is in good shape.  Still has the good neoprene smell

After every use, I just throw mine in the shower with me and rinse it really well inside and out.  Sometimes I use a little shampoo or my wife's face cleanser (regular kind - none of that grit stuff), but most of the time I only use water.  This seems to work fine.

hose it down with fresh water inside and out and then let air dry.

You said "regular clothes", I hope you didn't put yours in the washing machine/dryer
