That's awesome! Sounds like our kids would get along great. My daughter has zero talent at athletic pursuits, but like yours, is very bright. Great idea!

That is soo awesome! My 4 yo can swim (almost made it across the pool today!) and bike, but she has just about the funkiest run I have even seen! All legs out in front, no push off, but who am I to judge?

we should do a tri for the littlest,  what a 25 yd swim, .5 mile bike and 50 yd dash ;0)

There's at least one organizer around here that has events down to age 7... In fact, they have the "Escape from School Youth Series" of a handful of races!

The little kids do a 75yd pool swim, 1 mile bike, and 1/2mi run.

After 3 girls, my 4 year old son has been quite an experience...he rides his bike (no training wheels) like an animal, asphalt to offroad (although he did want handlebar streamers like his sisters).  Last summer, at 3, we went to a pool with a diving board that he desperately wanted to jump off of, but no flotation devices allowed...so, he decided screw the lifevest, ran off the end of the diving board, swam to the edge over and over until the pool closed, and now swims like a fish (gotta work on a real stroke though :-)  He will be doing his first running race in the fall with his 6 yr old sisters.

What a wonderful gift to give your child...a fun, healthy, active lifestyle!!

That is such a good idea!  I'm stealing this idea for my own daughter!  Maybe this way I'll be able to get some training in during the day
