What a great stage today turned out to be. Chapeau to Columbia. Lots of guts there. Let's hope the TTT will be tight. Lance said in his Twiiter that this is VERY technical. What fun.

3 picks for everyone as usual.

Jens, three riders please. You're not going to get away that lightly. Punctures! Crashes! Contrador getting dropped by Lance, again!  I've been dreading this stage.

Come on guys. Stop with the easy option. Three riders. First five in the team crossing the line get the fifth riders time.

Have I chosen wisely? I'm concerned that some riders will give it their all & blow before the end to give their team-mate a better time. I don't like picking for ITT's at the best of times, TTT's are even worse.

1/ Armstrong Contador

2/ Martin

3/ Millar ~ he better not drop off at the end!

I think we should do it by teams, otherwise it would be even more boring.

So either Lance, Levi, Contador or

Astana
Columbia
Saxo Bank

I will go with:

1. Astana
2. Saxo
3. Garmin

IMO, Garmin and Columbia are going to be close and it could go either way for 3rd. Cancellara is going to be riding his tail off to keep that yellow jersey for another day so I would hate to be on his team cause those guys are going to suffer. And if Astana beats Saxo by more than :40 it is going to be pretty interesting with Armstrong in Yellow but then again the stage may be to short for that to happen, only 39km.

EZ here. The team all get the same time as the first 5. Astana will win the TTT. Therefore, everyone that finishes top 5 in Astana will give you the lowest time.

Popo.
Lance.
Conta.

I just gotta hope there's no wreck taking one out.

I would just do both for now just to be safe, all the folks across the ocean are probably in bed by now.

That's what I decided.  Picking teams is way easier than picking riders!

Ugh Im torn right now... I have 4 teams (yes yes Im picking riders) that Im going for.. Columbia, Garmin, CSC and Astana...

I dont like Astana so much so lets go..

- Rogers

- VandeVelde

- Cancellara

(Yes I realise based on the prologe leaving of Astana may be the definition of insanity.....)

- Armstrong

Im worried Saxobank and Columbia are tired fromyesterday.... Im worried Garmin have been quiet and are targetting this stage.... so I suspect I may come back and change these before the stage starts...

Well, like Rick said, it's a TTT. Which means the first 5 riders in (on each team) will all have the same time.

If this was an ITT, I'd go with Cancellera. BUT he needs to stick with his team, so his time will probably be slower than if he was riding alone.

Therefore, I'll go with Astana, and pick, um.....

1) Contador (I'm sure he's not happy about Stage 3. So he'll push hard tomorrow.)
2) Leipheimer (I'm sure he's not happy about Stage 3 either.)
3) Armstrong (I'm sure he IS happy about today. AND I think he'd like to gain back time against Saxobank Cancellera, and try for that yellow jersey.)

OK, I'm good with those three.

Not a prediction but I was wondering what the Specialized bike was that was being ridden in the opening TT. I know that bikes are sometimes re-branded for individual preference but why? Specialized has a Tri/TT bike. Does the current bike not meet standards???

Just a new bike.. Specialized s-works ttr bike.

Just like the trek bike in the tour is different from the trek tri bike on the website.

Hair. I haven't got any. It's my age, BTW it's my birthday today so cut me some slack please, I'll accept kisses all round. What little I've got left I've been pulling out trying to figure this stage. If we were picking teams you'd only get one pick. Come on, choosing three teams! There's only four in it. To be proved wrong & made to look a complete fool for saying that.

Wonder what the weather's like today. Nice bit of rain could make us all look like idiots

Giro dominance!!! CHR15 you're the nearset. Go kick him for me please, hard!
