For those of you peeps out there that are not going to be doing this event, why not come down and volunteer?? InStep (I think they are handling the water stations, plus other stuff) is putting out a call for some volunteers. If interested shoot me a message and I can give you the contact information!
If triOK doesn't need me to help her PaceBooty.com stuff, then I'll try to swing by.
I am kidnapping Tony (mr2tony) and bringing him with me so I should be all good, but if you don't come by to say hello I will hunt you down. Plus, I will have cookies.

And I suppose you'll borrow one of Trixie's guns, too?

Hey, thanks in advance guys and gals!!!
Could you post the volunteer contact info here? There's a good chance I could help if they still need people but...I'm new to the sport and I don't really know any contacts in the area. Let me know who I should get in touch with for this race. Thanks!
PS - I recently watched "The Distance"...congrats on finding the balance and finishing the race, and good luck this year!

DJ - thanks for the offer for the stay. I was weighing my hands, like PJ, regarding Sun. It turned out wifey changed her mind and plans again for this weekend, and we'll be camping starting Sat. afternoon sometime, so I'll miss out on 'strapping for Sun.

So the training plan calls for a 2-hour bike on Saturday. We're arriving Saturday morning for the Bradford Beach Expo and I plan to hit the trail, a trail, any trail, for a couple hours in the afternoon. I think we're staying in downtown Milwaukee. Any recommendations on where I can ride for a couple hours? And remember I ride usually on Chicago's lakefront trail so mobs of people don't frighten me, as long as I can get through at a reasonable pace. Thanks Donks!
Tony, I live about 5 miles north of downtown MKE, and here is a great out and back route for ya. It starts from my house, but all you would have to do is get on Lake Drive downtown and stay on it until you meet up with the route. If you want to do more than two hours go all the way to the end in Port Washington, there is a great cafe on the marina where I like to get a Coke and a cookie before coming back. Of course, you can turn around at any point.

Thanks Peter. Glad it's from your house. I'll just stay in the tent I've set up in Stalkerville with the other BTers outside your crib and then go from there.

This is a huge fail dude. You should be using the opportunity to throw around a bunch of iron at Bradford turning it into a muscle beach. Chicks dig that kind of thing I understand.
