Subject: RE: Bursting with prideWhen I take a look at todays kids and shake my head in disgust, I'm brought back with a smile when I hear something like this and still think there is hope with our future. Tell her there are people thanking her in silence. Just to note also, my son (age 10 ) has been asking why I had to go to the doctor all last year and asking about chemo, radiation etc. I didn't come right out and tell him, because I thought he would figure it out on his own, which he did, but we have never talked about it in detail. Regardless, I signed us both up to be a Livestrong Army Leader for our state. Basically, its free, you "support" the Livestrong Army by passing out brochures about cancer to churches, bike shops, schools etc. Its making awareness of this disease out for everyone. You can support the Army anyway you want with any imagination. I'm proud of him for helping me with this task. Your daughter should feel very proud of herself. |
