Subject: RE: Dude finishes Kona. On a Fixie.Every four years there's a race/ride in France called Paris-Brest-Paris where you have 90 hrs. total time to go 763 miles with 32,000 feet of climbing. There's always dozens (if not hundreds ) of fixie riders that cover the course in that timeframe (some do it in 60-70 hrs. ). I did the course in 88 hrs. in 2007 but not on a fixie. I have done several centuries on fixies, though. Not to state that Kona on a fixie is no small accomplishment, by any means. It's pretty hardcore, but doing PBP on one is pretty insane. |
