Important Announcement - Please read!

Your team spreadsheet should be done in the next day or so - big thanks to MDHillSlug for putting them all together!

To log on to the spreadsheet, use the following information:
Username: [email protected]
Password: challengeforum

*** If you're already logged onto Google using your own account, you'll need to log out, then log in again with the above information. ***

Each team needs to do the following:
1) Pick a team name.
2) Select a team captain.

Team captain responsibilities:
1) Remind people when it's time to update the team spreadsheet. (This is the information that I'll use to determine the team standings.)
2) Let me know if there's a problem. (For example, a team member hasn't reported in for two weeks, etc.)

When you have selected a team name, let me know and I'll have your thread name changed.

Winning team can display the following in their signature line for the month of January "Happy Holidays to ME!  My team won the Du-December Challenge!"

Losing teams will need to add the following to their signature line for January "My team lost the Du-December Challenge...  I should have worked out more and shopped less!"

GOOD LUCK AND GET TRAINING!!!

Morning team!  Glad to see some familiar faces and always like meeting new ones!  I'm Erica.  30 y/o (for a few more days, birthday is FRIDAY ) SAHM of 3 fun kids (8, 6, 5).  My goals this month are bike/run. I was gonna do bike/swim but then I realized that half marathon training starts next week.  So, I changed my mind.  Although I still prefer to do a wine drinking challenge.  I'd win that one for sure!

Happy first day of December everyone!

Oh, I vote for a return of Team Vixen again.

hey there ERICA and TEAM!

im stacie, a SAHM of 3 equally fun children, 3 sons (7,10, & 13)  i picked running and strength training as my challenges for this month.  ive been doing a decent job getting my swimming and biking in, but since my 1/2 mary in November, ive been struggling to 'find time' to get all my runs in.  the long one seems to be OK, its just the other two.

i dont want to lose all that i gained trng for my 1/2, so running it will be for me.

and i just started a new ST routine (based on the book Strength Training for Triathletes) and ive JUST started liking ST, so i want to keep that going.

heres a to FESTIVE DECEMBER!

Hey gang, I'm Duane.  I am a career prosecutor - current target are drunk drivers and I am the head of the unit.  Married, 4 kids (14, 5, 4, 2)  I just signed up for a half marathon, so running will be a focus of mine and I'll also bike.  I didn't meet my November goal, but I WILL meet this one.  I am going to aim HIGH and end the year on a great training note.  good luck all.

oh - I'm not too sure about BEING a vixen, but I don't mind hanging out with them.  Wink

Hey all, I'm Andy - been in challenges with some of you all before!  Good to be here!  I am an IT director for a restaurant company.  I have a daughter (age 8) who is getting ready to start training for a kids triathlon next May.  I am on the DL for running still, so it will be swim and bike for me...  What ever team name you all come up with is fine by me...

Morning team!  I am Kathy and have been on BT and the Challenge forum for just over a year.  I am scheduled to run my second 1/2 mary in Feb so running is one of my goals.  I am also hoping to finish my first HIM *gulp* this summer so improving my swimming is my other goal.

My biggest limiter is I have returned to working M,W,F after 3 yrs of the mostly stay at home life and seeing the kids through middle school and into high school.  Now I have to pay for college!!

I agree the Vixens might be a little too chicked for the team.  May I suggest anther reindeer name?  Since there are a lot of runners on the team maybe DASHER???

Have a great day all.  Hoping to get a swim and run in today with a session of strength in  the middle.  Day off work so got to make the most of it!!

Right now the sheet is empty, waiting for you to add your names and goals. You can go ahead with this and add anything missing later tonight.

Hi everyone! My name is Rhoda, 34 years old. I work full time, have a 3 and 5 year old at home and a husband that also does tris so getting enough time to train is my big challenge. Actually, my husband and I often ride on side by side trainers after the kids go to bed... we're catching up on Dallas re-runs this way! But I detest running at 9pm.

Anyway, I started doing sprints a few years back with a couple friends to lose the baby weight and got hooked. I did my first Oly last year and had a craptastic performance - finished but it was just miserable. My background is in swimming so I'm not as worried about that. I really need to focus on my bike and run base so I can improve next summer! I really need some motivation to get running...

Hey all -

I'm a mom of 2 girls (almost 5 and 7) and a professor. I've played in the challenge forum, but have been burned out for the last 6 months or so (following a disastrous marathon epic fail in April)...and I desperately need to get my act back together so...challenge, here I come!

My goals for December are modest, I picked up a beginner maintenance plan and am slowly ramping up to a reasonable training schedule.

Glad to get to meet you all! (And if anyone wants to add a wine-drinking challenge, I'm so in.)

Hi All,

I'm new to all of this, training for my first Tri next May.  I"m married, and stepmom to a wonderful 14yr old girl who lives with us half time.  I work a full time job as a manager of web services for a business equipment company and have a part time job as a group fitness leader teaching bootcamp classes 3xweek for fun.  My goal is running/biking for this challenge.

I'm very excited and look forward to getting to know more of you.

a Jingle Bell run on the 12th.

a Frigid Five Miler in January

a Spring Thaw 10 miler in February

im hoping that will give me the necessary motivation to maintain my running fitness through these winter months.  that and this challenge!

id be more than happy to be a co-captain....ERICA, you want to be my wing-VIXEN??

ill just say up front that im HORRIFICALLY AWFUL at individual INSPIRES....so, if as a team you all promise to do that part of the 'job' and inspire one another, i can certainly take care of the crackin' the whip and tattle-tale duties ie reminding you to update the spreadsheet and informing the challenge leader if there are any issues.

i crack the whip here at home 24-7, and im the youngest sibling/little sister ERGO i think ive got some mad tattling skills.

lets get a crack a lacking then!
