Elite 4372 Connecticut | Subject: RE: Du-December Challenge Team 1 Morning team! Glad to see some familiar faces and always like meeting new ones! I'm Erica. 30 y/o (for a few more days, birthday is FRIDAY ) SAHM of 3 fun kids (8, 6, 5). My goals this month are bike/run. I was gonna do bike/swim but then I realized that half marathon training starts next week. So, I changed my mind. Although I still prefer to do a wine drinking challenge. I'd win that one for sure! Happy first day of December everyone! Oh, I vote for a return of Team Vixen again. |

Champion 6225 | Subject: RE: Du-December Challenge Team 1 hey there ERICA and TEAM! im stacie, a SAHM of 3 equally fun children, 3 sons (7,10, & 13) i picked running and strength training as my challenges for this month. ive been doing a decent job getting my swimming and biking in, but since my 1/2 mary in November, ive been struggling to 'find time' to get all my runs in. the long one seems to be OK, its just the other two. i dont want to lose all that i gained trng for my 1/2, so running it will be for me. and i just started a new ST routine (based on the book Strength Training for Triathletes) and ive JUST started liking ST, so i want to keep that going. heres a to FESTIVE DECEMBER! stacieb |

Married, 4 kids (14, 5, 4, 2) I just signed up for a half marathon, so running will be a focus of mine and I'll also bike. I didn't meet my November goal, but I WILL meet this one. I am going to aim HIGH and end the year on a great training note. good luck all. oh - I'm not too sure about BEING a vixen, but I don't mind hanging out with them. |

Master 2146 East Side of the Bay | Subject: RE: Du-December Challenge Team 1 Morning team! I am Kathy and have been on BT and the Challenge forum for just over a year. I am scheduled to run my second 1/2 mary in Feb so running is one of my goals. I am also hoping to finish my first HIM *gulp* this summer so improving my swimming is my other goal. My biggest limiter is I have returned to working M,W,F after 3 yrs of the mostly stay at home life and seeing the kids through middle school and into high school. Now I have to pay for college!! I agree the Vixens might be a little too chicked for the team. May I suggest anther reindeer name? Since there are a lot of runners on the team maybe DASHER??? Have a great day all. Hoping to get a swim and run in today with a session of strength in the middle. Day off work so got to make the most of it!! |

Master 2042 Albany, NY | Subject: RE: Du-December Challenge Team 1 Hi everyone! My name is Rhoda, 34 years old. I work full time, have a 3 and 5 year old at home and a husband that also does tris so getting enough time to train is my big challenge. Actually, my husband and I often ride on side by side trainers after the kids go to bed... we're catching up on Dallas re-runs this way! But I detest running at 9pm. Anyway, I started doing sprints a few years back with a couple friends to lose the baby weight and got hooked. I did my first Oly last year and had a craptastic performance - finished but it was just miserable. My background is in swimming so I'm not as worried about that. I really need to focus on my bike and run base so I can improve next summer! I really need some motivation to get running... |

Champion 6107 Out running or enjoying a fine glass of red... | Subject: RE: Du-December Challenge Team 1 Hey all - I'm a mom of 2 girls (almost 5 and 7) and a professor. I've played in the challenge forum, but have been burned out for the last 6 months or so (following a disastrous marathon epic fail in April)...and I desperately need to get my act back together so...challenge, here I come! My goals for December are modest, I picked up a beginner maintenance plan and am slowly ramping up to a reasonable training schedule. Glad to get to meet you all! (And if anyone wants to add a wine-drinking challenge, I'm so in.) |
