Important Announcement - Please read!

Your team spreadsheet should be done in the next day or so - big thanks to MDHillSlug for putting them all together!

To log on to the spreadsheet, use the following information:
Username: [email protected]
Password: challengeforum

*** If you're already logged onto Google using your own account, you'll need to log out, then log in again with the above information. ***

Each team needs to do the following:
1) Pick a team name.
2) Select a team captain.

Team captain responsibilities:
1) Remind people when it's time to update the team spreadsheet. (This is the information that I'll use to determine the team standings.)
2) Let me know if there's a problem. (For example, a team member hasn't reported in for two weeks, etc.)

When you have selected a team name, let me know and I'll have your thread name changed.

Winning team can display the following in their signature line for the month of January "Happy Holidays to ME!  My team won the Du-December Challenge!"

Losing teams will need to add the following to their signature line for January "My team lost the Du-December Challenge...  I should have worked out more and shopped less!"

GOOD LUCK AND GET TRAINING!!!

Greetings teammates!!! I'm Jen and training for my first full marathon. Ran a half marathon this past weekend so with a little rest and some easy running this week I'll be back to my usual tricks next week. Running is my main goal and strength/core work is part two of my challenge. Something I hate to do but critical for running a long race well.

I see some of my old friends from my last challenge! Cheers!

Hi everyone!

I'm Kimberly, and I just finished my first season of tris (sprint.)  I'm planning on the Oly distance this upcoming season, and I signed up for core work and rollers.  Two things that are ever-so-helpful, but oh-so-tedious.  This will definitely keep me on track!

Looking forward to cheering everybody on this month!

Hi team 3!!
I love the challenges! I've been doing them every month since the summer and have always hit 100%. I have to think about my goal for a day or so.
Do we have a name?

Hi gang.  I did my first IM this year, did 2 30k trail runs in the last 2 months and have my second stand alone mary in January.  So I am run focused, but want to get some swimming in as well.  This will be my last big build month prior to the mary, so I will probably get in some good miles.

Wow starting my 3rd year of Tri training... not quite a newb anymore, how odd.  No excusses to not get faster  8).

Goals are entered!

Jen & Baowolf: Nice to meet you - I'm so impressed by people who can run 1/2 marathons and the full distance.  Someday, hamstrings willing, that will be me!

Losta: I'm also signed up for the Rev3 Oly at Quassy!  First race at that distance.

Good to see some familar faces again!  Look forward to getting to know the rest of you.  I have found these challenges very helpful and motivating.  The camaraderie definately pushed my through the hard days.

My main emphasis for the off-season is running and revising my swim technique.  So, my monthly goals for the challenge focus on these disciplines again.  And, of coarse, to stay healthy and injury free!  18 week marathon plan started yesterday.

I already logged my goals on the spreadsheet.

With that said, let's get to work!

Hiya Team!
I remember some of you from either October or November. I'm in for this December challenge. They're so fun I can't not get involved. This month I plan to focus on swimming and strength training since I've got three swimming lessons scheduled and I need to continue to strengthen my previously sprained shoulder. Come January, I'll likely be starting additional swimming lessons as I continue to hone my swimming and get more and more efficient (and hopefully more lean!).

What team name should we pick?

Du-eling Dashers?  That's about as much creativity as I've got at present. Ha!

Cheers,
Riley

Hi Teamies! It's good to see some familiar faces, and I look forward to getting to know the rest of you! I'm running a 50k trail race on the 5th, and after that I'm taking a few weeks for an off season. So, my goals this month are weight loss and core work. It'll be great to have the challenge to keep me focused

Gotta finalize my goals tonight. Low volume month for me post IM. Gonna take an easy month to end the year and then start planning for January and the year ahead.

I agree - I'm leaning towards Elves in Training.

BTW, 30 minutes completed on the rollers - 10% of the way there!  Core tomorrow.
