Wahooo! I'm excited! I probably won't start training till February since this is not my A race for 2010. But I'm still pumped!
I'm planning on camping at the race site again this year... anyone else?

I got a campsite last year and was very happy with that decision.  Although I didn't spend the night there as I am only 30 minutes away, having a place to park in the early morning hours and for my family to gather was great.  The race date falls perfectly for my 1/2 way mark to IMFL in Nov 2010.

I signed up about a month or so a go and after getting some new triathlon gear last week for Christmas I'm even more excited for this race. Less than a month until I ramp up the training.

I also think I'm going to get me one of those camp sites. I've heard too many good things from people who got one last year and the awesome convenience of it.

We had a campsite along the run course last year and it was perfect.  Would like to get another one this year.  I better get registered.

Anyone do this course last year and have a Garmin data file or a CT file so I can ride the course on my CT?

I took the plunge and signed up over the weekend.  I'm pumped up for this race and am excited to see how the experience goes for me.  Hopefully we can all stay healthy and get in lots of good training between the end of the month and June 6!

I'm doing kansas and branson.  The only thing i can say for the camp site is that if you can't sleep when it's hot then get a hotel room.  It was really hot the first year i camped and i couldn't sleep at all, but i have to have 2 fans blowing on me at my house or i can't sleep so maybe its just me.

That's Crazy! My 20 week plan starts on 1/18/10 also. We must be in the same time zone.

Good point, that's something that I hadn't considered, nor heard anyone mention from previous years. I live close enough to the race site that I can drive to it the morning of should it be too hot/humid in the evening/early morning (let's hope it isn't otherwise we're looking at a miserable race day). At the very least it can serve as a home base for any friends and family that come out to watch.

Camping Registration will be up on the website before the end of the month. All money from the camping goes to the Park's beautification fund. If you get a chance check out some of the improvements made to the MTB trails at the park.

Being able to camp, park, tailgate on the run course/transition is a huge convenience for athletes and their families...even if you don't spend the night there. I live 3 miles away and I camp there
We're lining up even more bands, food, beer, entertainment for 2010.

Along with the camping registration we will be posting a revised Race Day Parking plan. (we listen to feedback) The Park has opened the ENTIRE park to us in 2010. We will have designated parking areas and athletes will park and take a shuttle to Transition 2. No more walking on race morning.

I registered for this one as my first Half-ironman, over the weekend. I figured I got nothing to lose doing this one as my first.

Just registered for IMKS.  Super excited.  I pray God keeps me safe and injury free during training.  One week before last years event, I hurt my back and couldn't participate.  Was able to watch some good racing along the sidelines though.

Okay I give up looking on the website. Is there a team option, and if so, how much to register?
