Pony Tails...

The only thing hotter are pigtails (double your pleasure)..

ETA: maybe a regional thing.  Down here a ponytail is singular.  Pigtails are plural, one on each side)

Hair pulled back and secured into one gathering = pony tail.  Multiple were seen this a.m.

I have a thing for bannana clips but that's because when I saw my ex put hers on, I knew it was to keep her hair out of the way while she was going to do something....  something niiiice.

There are 2 regulars at the gym who thankfully use the 1st row of treadmills, while I regularly use the second.  

2x ponytails while running intervals = me notsomuch thinking about my running.


( I would also like to give a shout out for banana clips, and the "duck butt" style of wrapping a pony tail up so that just the tip of the hair sticks out the top.)

Braids are nice to look at but the hypnotic effect just isn't there

Braids don't "swish, swish, swish" as freely.  Generally speaking, I find the ponytails to be more hypnotic. 

Gotcha... I'm still partial to pigtails.  Braided pigtails..

silly boys have no idea what a banana clip is, those things disappeared 20 years ago for good reason.  you are thinking of jaw clips.

m- thank you for clarifying that.   Since NONE of the Men of BT seem to be sporting rad mullets, I was absolutely mystified about how they were finding their 80's women.

And - "duck butt!"  Hee hee!  I'd never heard that, but that's what mine looks like!  (Not long/heavy enough for much of a swishy-swishy.)

Ah see that is what I was wondering.  The braid doesn't swish the same but the end does bounce against the lower back or does the metronome thing in the curve of the lower back.  I agree with one poster though, I think I would look silly in pigtails, my hair is too long for real pigtails as they should only come down to about your shoulders.

I do still love the banan clip too though, more so than the jaw clip.

I never knew they were called jaw clips.  At our house they are called Rancors ie the monster from Star Wars with the big teeth.  Something my husband came up with.  I agree pony's are cute on girls especially while wearing baseball hats though mine is getting a bit long and I have to double it up which isn't very cute, you lose the swish factor.

And what about those girls who run with such a bounce that the entire ponytail rotates in a complete circle...mesmerizing.

i'll admit i thought they were called claw barettes -- but turns out those are like the kind a hairstylist uses to section off your hair.

I have found that I can instantly tell if a woman (with a pony tail) has good run form.  If their pony tail swishes back and forth without "bouncing", then they have awesome form and will probably drop me like a hot rock.

If it's coming apart and back together...I have a chance...but they will probably still dust me.
