Subject: RE: Increased Training - Increased problems with Alchohol- 2010-11-04 5:33 PM Hi Guys, Just want to see if anyone else has this problem. The more fit I am, the more I feel depressed for a number of days after drinking. It doesn't seem to be an issue when I've been glutinous for months. But now, since I've been back at exercising, I'm really struggling to keep my head up after three or four drinks.
A big night puts me out for days. Anyone else feel this way?
Thanks Laura You're under-trained. In all honesty, I'm not a drinker. I can go for months without having a drop of anything, and then I may have a small Beam and Coke once a night for a couple of weeks, then maybe one or two beers a week for a short time a few weeks. I know my limit and don't care to drink. I control it. My Dad was an alcoholic, and my brother can count the number of hours he hasn't touched anything in the last 20 years or so (he's an alcoholic ). With that, if I have more than 2 drinks, I'll start to feel a slight buzz, and back off. It's not worth it to me because I know that I'm a Father and my sons need me to be responsible. BTW - Welcome back! Edited by 1stTimeTri 2010-11-04 10:22 PM
