Superbowl Halftime Show

I thought it was bad.  Fergie singing like Axel Rose was just aweful. 

Yea the worst part was that it seemed like the music was pipped into the stadium and the singing was straight to the TV so all you could really hear was the God-awful singing.

Would have been nice to have actual musicians? Other than Slash?

I thought it was awful too. It seemed like over the course of one absurdly long song they jumped around between parts of several different songs - and not smoothly. I understand the concept of a "medley" but if that's what they were going for it was not well done.

Utterly terrible.  The worst in years.

I think the issue is BEP are a heavily studioed/engineered band so that does not do so well in a stadium.

The 'show' was fine.  The singing? meh

This!!..I love BEP...they just should never ever sing in a stadium again..ever.

I thought it was a fun enough show.  Much better than say when Paul McCartney played a few years ago.  This was a full production show.

Visually it was good. I think I would have benefited from turning off the sound after the first 20 seconds. I kept waiting for the sound guy to find the "plug" that he forgot to plug in. I also think they needed to give Fergie more wiggle time. That semi-dry h**p with Slash was pathetic, think they censored her some?

Slash was good.  The rest was...not.

Usher was good.  The rest of the show, meh.

The radio in Dallas read an article that said that wasn't even slash......Who knows if thats true or not.

So disappointed,  Black Eyed Peas doing super bowl HT show should have been amazing, they are normally great live.  they were just terrible, Usher, nope didn't hit it either.
Slash....yeah of course, but then Fergie had to go and sing while he was playing....ruined that too.

Agreed on both points. Fergie scares me, and not in the good "may I have another" way.

I didn't vote because "I didn't care for it" isn't strong enough to describe how I feel.

The audio guy needs to be fired.  The music was way too soft and he vocals kept comeing in and out.  Plus part of the stage (one arm of the V in LOVE) didn't work.  That's unacceptable for something so simple.  Pretty horrible.

No way!  Paul McCartney was one of my all-time favorite half-time shows! 

Visually, it was awesome.  The audio completely sucked.  They should have lip-sync'd.

Horrible show. Made me miss Tom Petty.

I loved the half time show.  It was fluid, changing and was 10X better than the last couple where they basically had dinasours up there being boring.

So I guess I'm in the minority but loved seeing them change it up and using other performers.

In the end though I have to ask:  Do the extras get to keep those light up outfits?  I'd wear those to a party!

During halftime I went to the basement and lubed my chain and replaced a tube. I had been out for a ride earlier in the day and had cleaned off the salt and melted slushy crap but needed to re-lube. I must have gotten a small puncture on the ride because it didn't flat until I was already home. Anyway, that was my halftime show and I enjoyed it immensely.

Usher has some talent!
