Why is it that every time I have to go to the bathroom, my cats have be in there with me?  It's not like that's the only time they get attention, but I swear I haven't gone to the bathroom by myself in years.  They seems to come from all parts of the house to spend that "quality" time with me.

Ever try to get a cat's attention while they're in the litter box?  They don't want to have anything to do with you then, but when the parts are reversed...

I hear ya!  It gets really annoying hwen you're using the bathroom adn the rub up against your legs- I hate that!  And, if I shut my bathroom door they'll stick their paw under the door and try to get in.  And when I get out of the shower they jump in the tub- weird....

heh. We had two kittens that were absolutely fascinated by the toilet. Whenever I went to pee, they would peer over the rim and watch the water splash and swirl.

Our older cat always wants to be petted by whomever is sitting on the throne.

My cat is the same way Courtney. Whenever I even walk near the bathroom, he'll run and jump up on the bathroom counter, stare at the sink and wait for water. I need to teach him how to work the tap by himself.

Yep, Darwin -- my big male tabby -- follows me everywhere around the house including the bathroom.  I lock him out when I am busy but he still sticks his paws under the door ... I guess he's trying to slide under!?!  He is very skittish around water but will sit on the toilet lid--I always put it down--and stare at me when I am in the bath.  He probably thinks that I am a barbarian for immersing myself in liquid to wash when licking myself would be much more civilized!  Meow ...

I don't know, but my dogs do it too... even when we're in the shower... and they have to bust open the door to let all the cold air in!

HA!!! My cats are the same! I get the paws under the door and also the annoying pawing at the door as if they were trying to dig their way throught it. Never fails, every freaking time!

Sometimes I think they just want the door to stay open. I'll shut the door after letting them in and then they scratch the door again to have me re-open it, but I tell them I can't cause I'm doing #2 but they never understand! hahaa

Cats rule!

My cats are also the exact same way when it comes to going to the loo.

Additionally, I have one, Harley, who hollers to be allowed in first thing in the morning when I am going to take my shower. I let her in but as soon as she realizes she is trapped (within about 1.5 seconds) she turns around and hollers to be let out. She will do this almost every morning and every morning she is surprised that I shut the door and trap her in. Meanwhile, the other cat, Bunny, will shove her paw under the door during this 1.5 seconds thinking she wants in as well. When I let Harley out, Bunny looks at me with a "nevermind" and walks off.

Harley stole a slice of cooked zucchini off of my pasta two nights ago and ate the whole slice little by little. She then came back for more. Zucchini???

My cat is very beautiful and a little crazy...she is a yogurt addict.

Holy crap, yours, too?!?! Cicero LOVES yogurt and he "barks" at us until we give him his spoonful (which he licks directly off of, too.) And by barking, I mean he makes these weird little gutteral noises wihtout actually opening his mouth. He is kind of weird. Our other cat won't come near yogurt.

My cats (Humphrey and Picasso) follow me to the bathroom every time I go in there. Humphrey is the most needy cat that I have ever seen. He has to have attention and slobbers on you when he gets too excited. Picasso likes to drink from the faucet which my wife thought was cute until I reminded her that he licks his butt with that tounge too!

Darwin is the same!!!  I thought it was just him.  Every time I pull the lid off my yogurt mousse cup, he just magically appears and will not stop meowling until I give him half of it!

Bob loves bathtime and tried to drink all the water in the tub, until I start using soap (I like to soak for a while and read).  Then he gets mad and leaves in a huff like I've polluted his water source.

Bob is usually pretty well-behaved, but on certain occassions he will dig food out of the trash. I don't mean fish or chicken or the stuff you'd expect.  No, I mean corn and cantaloup.  He'll fight you for a brussel sprout leaf.

And I think that moths taste like cat popcorn.

I am totally LOL to see this thread.  The reason being, just YESTERDAY I realized that every time I go in the bathroom, Kitty comes in and uses her litterbox. Is this some freak cat bonding ritual?  I'm not sure when this started, but for some reason, I am just now noticing this, and she does it EVERY single time!

It kind of freaks me out.  It's like when in my younger, clubbing days, all us girls would herd into the bathroom to pee together (a female ritual that men find quite crazy), and now it seems it translates to cats?

Cats are really cool. I guess that's why I spend my Friday mornings at the SPCA. Don't forget about this thread
http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/forums/thread-view.asp...
and post your pics of your cats.
