CLEAN BILL OF HEALTH!!!!

that's right! my father in law has a clean bill of health (well, apart from still having heart disease and emphysema). his blood tests were clear, and his lungs are clear! he finished his last round of chemo a few weeks ago. during chemo he landed back in the er several times - increased heart rate, a panic attack, and finally an appendectomy (common post-chemo problem). his morale was really down for a while there, but his lungs seemed to be healing well and that kept him going. he is thrilled that the cancer appears to be gone - and of course, we're thrilled too!

thank you so much for all your emotional support through this (frank, sue, jim!). its hard to put into words how helpful it was knowing that there were folks i could talk to here.
