So I am absolutely fed up with my job and I have been researching markets that don't have very many sandwich options. I am highly considering opening a franchise, but I would like everyone's feedback on the options out there.

Quizno's all the way baby!  Ahh...I love Quizno's almost as much as a burrito!  If you get a cookie there, you can ask them to put it in the oven for ya to warm it.  It's soo yummy!  Subway always stinks inside and whenever I leave there I have the "Subway smell" absorbed into my skin and clothes.  Does anyone else notice the distinctive Subway odor? I can't get rid of it- it's awful.  I don't have to worry about that at Quizno's though.

Tri-Pirate - 2005-11-02 4:01 PM CHIPOLTE...........

HOw dare you post that insulting fake Chiptole picture- it's not even close enough to the size of a real Chiptole burrito.  Check out the burrito in my avatar- now that's a Chiptole!  ok- back to sandwich talk!  Quizno's...yum!

I had it today and my sub was made awful.  I couldn't even finish it.  What's up with that stench anyways?  It's weird because I'll start sweatting the Subway stench when i work out later in the day.  It's weird...

Subway, only if toasted...Quizno's has more veggies, but it's hard to beat $2.50 for a lunch sandwich!

Come on...

The only really decent cold sandwich is a Philadelphia Hoagie.

Wawa makes the best.

I usually get an italian with provolone, little mayo, spicy mustard, lettuce, onions, pepper, oregano...

Quiznos, Blimpies, Subway, these are mere imitations.  Actually, anything that bills itself as a sub instead of a hoagie is a mere imitation.

I'm from MI and never referred to a sandwich as a hoagie. When I moved to UT, there was a restaurant named "Hogi Yogi". I am not stupid, but it took me 3 years to figure out it meant subs and yogurt. It would help me if they had spelled "hogi" correctly--one of my biggest pet peeves!

That's funny.   I like that!

Story goes that the hoagie got its name from workmen who would take huge sandwiches to their jobs on Hog island, near the Naval Yard.

Don't ask me how it went from hog to hoag, this is Philadelphia after all.

I don't know if I sweat the stench out or not, but it does stick with my clothes all day long...There are 22,000 Subways so they are definitely doing something right...

I added Togo's. Even better if it is one of those 3-in-1 Togo's that has a Dunkin Donut and Baskin Robbins built in.

OK, Zingermans is the best sandwich...period.  Ask Trixie, Mitrigirl, G8RSAX, fromer, or any of the mafia.  You can't get NEAR this place at mealtimes, and they mint money.  Plus catering.  And it's ohhhhh good (eyes fluttering).
