I am driving to Philadelphia tonight after work to ring it in with my 2 best friends.  Yes, I will be treating my body like a tent for the next few days.  I have all of 2006 to start treating it like a temple again.

Going to the lake house, build a fire, eat some great food, drink some very good red wine, listen to Garrison Keillor.  In other words, not much different than any other Saturday night.  Maybe my mother and Janicewhokeepsmehumble's momwhokeepsmehumbler will come up too.  Why mess with a good thing?

I'm with the normal Sat night thing.

Going to a friends for dinner, maybe a glass of wine (yes 1) then I expect to be home by 9ish and sleeping well before midnight!

I would do the New Years fun run here too but no running until Monday says the Doc.

Having neighbors over.  Low-key.  Big workouts planned for Sat & Sun (hopefully).  We're a funny group aren't we?  New Year's Eve, which might be considered the biggest party in the world, barely registers on out attention scale.  But mention bike porn, alpacas, PR's, PB's, Kona, flip turns, chi running, red bikes or burritos and watch us go into a frenzy like piranhas.

We're so cool we chill our own drinks.

Scott I will be partying like a rock star so dont feel left out. This is my first New Years off in about 8 years. I was the one serving the drunks all those years. Now its my time. I am going to start the evening right though. A friend and I are getting a cab to come pick us up from my house so we arent even tempted to drive. And then I will finish up at the waffle house at about three thirty sleep till about 1 wake up and have some black eyed peas and whatever else you are suppose to eat, then spend the rest of the day on here planning my training because I officially begin 1-2( I am going by my LBS to make a rather large purchase on 12-31) . Oh I forgot weighing in for the New Years Challenge as well. Be safe guys!!!!!

Tonight we are going out to the bar... just one bar, to practice, because our favorite band is playing (I only go for the music) and tomorrow night we are having a house pary, after skiing all day that will probably land us in the hot tub for most of the night.

yes we will be drinking!!!

LOL Sue...I was gonna offer the same invite. Patti and I are basically doing nothing. I've got a 10-K race on Sunday, but any BT-ers are still welcome to stop by. We could always plug an Ironman DVD in the machine and crank up the volume!

It's just a laid-back house party for me this year. Happy New Year everyone!!

New Year's is always a good time with our friends.

This year a progressive dinner that will end at a house party. I love New Years because I get to drink all the champagne I want. It's even worth the headache the next day. (What IS it about champagne that makes you head pound ?!?!)

Have fun, be safe. And HAPPY NEW YEAR!
