Subject: RE: Who's expecting and when?Regarding names: (keep in mind that I work in marketing/advertising ). I named my second son Ryan only to find out that there were so many Ryan's in his preschool (3 out of 14 kids! ) that they had to refer to each other by last names to differentiate. So for my third son, I wanted something more unique, but not so weird that he'd get teased and/or beat up at school. So I made up a list of about 12 names. At one of the family gatherings, I called all the neices and nephews into the dining room (I probably bribed them with food ) and told them that I wanted their opinions on these names. I went down the list one by one and got their reactions, i.e., "Ewwww!" "No Way!" "Are you kidding?" and finally, when I said, "Elijah", they all said, "Cool!" So his name is Elijah and he's now almost 12 and a very cool kid! |
