Woo-Hoo! I'm moving back to Ont. in April. In my excitement I already signed up for 10 MSC triathlons!  Now I gotta start training again. Since October I gained 15lbs and have only run ~100km total.  I wonder what would happen if I tried to do P2A with no bike training?

I've got to ask - when do find time to train if you're racing almosr every weeknd?  I applaud the enthusiasm, but what do you hope to gain by racing so much?

Not trying to be a downer, just trying to understand.

Racing experience. Last year I raced 4 sprints in 4 weekends in June & 3 sprints in 4 weekends in Aug/Sept. It's like taking a course after completing the prerequisite last week vs last year. You learn really fast while everything is fresh & recovery is pretty quick too.

Now throw in a few longer distance races & things might change a bit. He could always choose to DNS if he's trashed or ... HTFU.

I'm not trying to gain anything I simply prefer racing to training. A smarter training & racing plan would give me a better shot at the podium but that is not what I'm after.

Besides, I'll have 3 free weekends to train before my first race... surely that's enuff?

And like MechEngPhoenix says - when my out-of-shape, fat is tired and slowing from lack of training I'll just pop open up a cool bottle of HTFU and keep going.

Love that poster. Might have to print it out and put it up in the Pain Cave!

Thanks Corey and Jen!

The 35% discount for signing up for 10+ races really appealed to the frugal tight-wad in me.  I signed up for:

If I can get back into shape I might try a late HIM - either Muskoka 70.3, Montreal Demi-Esprit, or 1/2 Beach2Battleship. But that's more of a dream than a pln at this point.

In May we'll probably need a new thread where we share what races we're all going to be at so we can say 'Hi' to each other. Its always nice to put a face to the people we've been chatting with on these forums.

Great idea Mark on the posts so people can meet. Also feel free to use our Facebook Fan page. http://www.facebook.com/pages/MultiSport-Canada-Triathlon-Series/352685666232

I will also be adding the individual events so you can link to there as well. As I said before it will be good to see you racing again.
