Subject: RE: The Cosby ShowWhen I was a kid, we lived in Central America, before proliferation of satellite tv. We watched the same 10 episodes of the Cosby Show so much I would translate them to my mexican friends. I heard one of his early standup routines where he talks about being a Corpsman (or as the President calls them "Corpse Men"). He had stories of amphibious assaults from the Korean War wounded he would treat at the hospital. He found humor in that. He found humor in a burial at sea. He's one of those guys who when the going gets tough you want him around because he'll make your day better. He's a real treasure. I think that show did as much to improve race relations as any form of entertainment ever has. And what a great role model as a Dad. He always came-down hard when he needed to, loved his kids no matter what, loved his wife above all. Great show, great man. I know he's not dead, but why aren't we making a big deal of him before he dies? Thanks for the Thread, just brought back a lot of good memories.
