Running tights that is. I just bought a pair. Can't decide if I want to keep them or not. It was kind of an impulse buy and they were on sale. Who on here wears them? How do you wear them? With or without compression underwear? Shorts over them or no shorts. The are pretty hard to get on but once on they feel ok. I thought I might use them on the bike over my tri shorts too. Any thoughts? Sorry no pictures.

This guy.  Like tights.  With compression underwear.  No shorts.  Can't be beat for cold weather running.

I wear tights in cold weather. I wear tri shorts under them and regular shorts over the top mostly just for looks (I think I look funny in tights without shorts over them -- maybe you are more fetching in them.)

Knee warmers, leg warmers, or tights. I'll wear them all (not at the same time). Sometimes shorts over tights, sometimes not. I don't wear compression underwear. I want that area compressed as little as possible. I'll wear running underwear though, to avoid chafing.

Maybe I misspoke.  What is running underwear?  My "compression" underwear are some UA tight enough for support boxers.  They are actually less compressy than my Desoto bib shorts.

I really Like my tights I have 3 pair of CW-X tights One insulator and 2 stabilizers , I use them a lot from now right thru to april around here. Not only do I find that they work as advertised and reduce fatigue on long runs they look much cooler then plain old black tights as well, I have a couple of pairs of plain black UA thights I hardly ever use. You will feel a bit self concious the first few times you wear them but that wears off quickly especially when its -10 out.

Same here. Over 40, shorts. Under 40, tights with shorts over them.

What else would you wear in winter? I just wear regular underwear underneath.

I use Under armour 6 "inseam underwear under them, they fit snug enough to keep everything in place, yet they are not going to make you sing like a girl eitherWink. They are pretty pricey but worth ever dollar in my opinion and it looks a lot better then full commando especially with the tights.

You're supposed to wear underwear under these things?

Oops. I mean, I knew that.

I have several pairs of tights.  The lighter weight ones I wear in 20-35F weather, the heavier ones in -5 to +20F.

I usually wear underwear underneath rather than have running shorts bunched up.  Nothing over them.

The OP mentioned compression underwear. 'Running underwear' is underwear that is snug and keeps everything in it's place like you're mentioning. I think of compression as 'very very sing-like-a-girl snug'. Sort of the difference between leg warmers and compression tights.

I just got some skins and really really like them. They might be a little light for when it's (literally) freezing outside but for now they are working out great.

Hmm. . . . underwear?  Just say no.  Next thing, you're going to tell me you wear underwear under your bike shorts/bibs.

I wear 'em when it's cold outside.  I don't have any very thick right now.  I wear some lycra/polyamide boxer-briefs underneath.  I only go regimental when kilted.

Yep. Compression. No underwear but if it is a longer run (say on 40 minutes) you will definitely want to consider lubing up the undercarriage.

Yes and No to Shorts over them... I only wear them when it gets below 4-5 degrees ( 41 F). Depending on how cold it gets will dictate which pair I select. In TN lightweight/midweight tights should suffice.

You junk sweats quite a bit ... I want something that wicks when it's cold out. There are wind briefs that protect the boys. I run outside in some pretty cold temps ... -25 and colder... http://www.mec.ca/AST/ShopMEC/MensClothing/BaseLayerUnderwear/PRD~5... will also layer up 2 pairs of tights and when its real cold will wear tracksters over that too.

I love tights.  I wear speedo under and nothing over.  Great for long runs in the fall and winter.
