Open note to GOP Leaders

If Republicans give this power to the President than I may be forced to leave the Republican Party. 

The scam is when the party no longer stands for what it professes.

How about something like this.

Louie, congress, including yourself is an embarrassment. The fact that you run into the debt ceiling issue repeatedly, is an indictment on your ability to run this country. The debt ceiling is a perfect example of your incompetence. The debt ceiling merely reflects the obligations you have already made. In essence, you agree to spend the money, then when it is time to pay it out you protest that the debt is too high. I believe that in order for this country to continue as the greatest country in the world, it is your responsibility to resign from office immediately and renounce both parties in Washington. In addition you should explicitly detail the favors you intended to give out in exchange for your re-election. Maybe then the American people will wake up to the joke that is the American political establishment.

 A political party is just a group of people with very similar views banding together to get their point across and to influence
lawmakers.  The scam is when the party no longer stands for what it professes.

If you had to explain the difference between a gang and a political party to an unknowing person, could you?

As a lifelong Republican and a long time supporter of you. I hope you can convince our fellow Republicans in Washington not to give the President the power to control the debt.  The power to tax, spend, and barrow, rests in the congress, most strongly invested in the House of Representatives and there it must remain.  If Republicans give this power to the President than I may be forced to leave the Republican Party.  If the party can no longer stand for its principals than what good is it? If the leadership no longer represents the principals of the party then what good are they?   If the members can no longer influence the leaders why be members?

I don't care how one feels about the above statement.  But I want to say THANK YOU for taking the time to contact your Congressman.

Too many just complain and never take the time to let their voice be actually heard.

Religion is what I believe in.  A cult is what the guy I don't like believes in.
