What's that mean?

New Orleans should not get a Super Bowl again after that blackout fiasco. Of course they will, but that was poor form.

Plan A- Wake up just after half time. If its a good game, watch remainder. Woke up to a lop sided score and blackout. Thought the heck with this, back to sleep, nothing lost. Oops...

Why don't you spell it out for me because no, I don't.

An AFC North Team beat a NFC West Team in the Super Bowl?

Was there a power outage that led to the Seahawks almost making a comeback in a Super Bowl?

Seriously, I don't get it.

Seahwaks fans have spent almost 10 years complaining about the officiating from the Superbowl they lost.

There was plenty of contact from both sides that was not getting called all game. I don't think the 9'ers got robbed of anything.

They didn't get robbed, but there should have been holding on that last play. I could see it going as a no call, but not after the 3rd down PI call on Ravens previous possession that led to a field goal. Similar contact and one was called.

Officiating crew was pretty terrible across the board though. One spot overturned and multiple more that would have been if they had gone to review.

This was the one that shocked me though:

How did that guy not get tossed??

I think the last play wasn't called because that ball wasn't catchable. Even if no one had touched crabtree, it landed a good 3 yards out of bounds. The only real officiating I thought was poor, was the lack of personal fouls during all of the "fights". There were plenty of times when guys were slapping someone else's helmet right in a ref's face and they didn't throw any flags. Also, that guy definitely should have been tossed for shoving the ref.

For the record, the Seahawks game was much worse. All of the headlines afterwards were discussing it.

OK, got it.

Even though I was rooting for the Ravens, I would have thrown the flag if I were that ref.  Both sides were really chippy and grabby the whole game.  But that was pretty blatant.

I blame the playcalling more than the refs.  4 plays that close to the goal line, Frank Gore on his best year ever and Kapaernick and they don't run it a few times?

But I still maintain that the power outage was the story of the game.  The 9ers were getting rolled until that happened.

I would have called defensive holding. The CB chucked Crabtree, then grabbed him as Crabtree went by him. Ball doesn't have to be catchable.

Gotta disagree.  Very catchable ball.  Its all of 10 inches away from his hands... he doesn't get held up for that fraction of a second it hits him in the hands.

IMO, you let the players determine the outcome at that point in the game, not the officials. The playcalling at the goal line were truly mystifying, as were Kaepernick's decisions. On third down, you're going to throw to a covered Crabtree for three yards in the flat? Really? He would have been better just pulling the ball down and running with it instead, especially with his speed and ability. To me, Kaepernick's inexperience really showed toward the end. Still, that kid is going to be a force for years to come.

Agree with both comments.  When he scored a TD and they needed 2, most QB's in the NFL immediately go to their sidelines or to a huddle to get their head right.  He was celebrating.  I think it was just inexperience.

He made some amazing throws.  I would assume Randy Moss caused that interception by breaking off his route instead of continuing.  But I didn't get a good look at that one.  Kapaernick is going to be a great QB.

I think the Ravens D looked slow during the whole playoffs, then they had 2 weeks to rest and they looked a lot faster in this game.

I'll add this, as someone who had no dog in the fight.

I'm just shocked the Ravens won the Superbowl. I'm not sure there's ever been a more mediocre team to win it. As I look over the course of their season, the Ravens weren't a special team in any way. They weren't even all that great defensively until late in the season. But they got hot, healthy and lucky (there's no way they should have beaten Denver on that late pass) at the right time and for the last several years, that seems to have been the winning formula.

Still, they are to be congratulated on being the last one standing.

GO RAVENS!!! very happy for my team and it was a great game to watch. I dont think the last play was a foul. You are allowed to jam a receiver and have contact at the line of scrimmage for up to 5 yards. just because it was in the endzone, does not mean it wasnt within the 5 yards. Also, Crabtree ran into the defender trying to take him inside, at that point all bets are off. I dont think the ball would have been catchable either as it landed a bit out of bounds but either way I am happy with the no call. I am surprised that Carey Williams did not get ejected for shoving the ref but I am sure he will get  a hefty fine by the end of the week. I liked the fact that the Refs let them play and didnt call everything. Made the game a little more exciting.

The ball was on the 7, so if it was in the endzone, it was beyond 5 yards. Additionally, no matter where you are on the field, you can't grab a handful of jersey.

Playcalling wasn't great all game.

I would agree that you can let that call go, but not if you are going to give Boldin the PI on the previous possession. They didn't let the players decide it then.
