What can be so hard?

Reminds me of the Koko Head Crater climb in Oahu.

I would die.  Or at the very least hurl at some point... or multiple points.

Makes the Grouse Grind look like a stroll in the park in comparison!

Pretty impressive. I might be able to finish it but it would take me a long time. Grouse Grind might be more my speed.

OK, that looks horrible, which, of course, makes it intriguing.

Do any of you do stair races?

They have different ones all over, usually in the tallest building in cities.  They have big ones, like the Sears Tower (103 flights), Empire State Building (86), etc.

I've only done a 40 flighter, but it was the most horrible 6 minutes of racing ever.

At the one I do, there are firefighters who do the whole thing in full gear, and some of them pull down awesome times.  They're incredible.

I love stairs. I have never done a stair race but I always use the stairs in a building in lieu of elevators or escalators, no matter how many flights or stories.

Stayed at a place in Vegas once and was on the 20th something floor. Twice, sometimes three times a day I'd scale those for the 4 days we were there. My idea of sick fun.

Y'all should go to Vancouver and do the Grouse Grind (http://www.grousemountain.com/grousegrind).

1.8 miles, 2800' vertical. The current record is 25:01.

Not as wacky as the Red Bull race, but highly recommended.

I've done the grind several times. It's natures stair climber, there's basically never a time when you are not stepping up. Unfortunately I don't live close enough to do it more often. My best time was just a little 40 min.
