Subject: RE: Ironman Canada : Official ThreadOriginally posted by MikeMeade08 Really? I'm still most deffinitely on the fence here...Whistler is a hilly, hilly course, but maybe Tahoe is, too? Dunno. That being said, there may be a best-of-both worlds solution out there... Agree with the other poster. You're not climbing the Alpe d'Huez or anything. Aero trumps weight on every IM race in N. America. The climbing at Whistler is not all that sustained with the exception of the 20 miles back from Pemberton to Whistler. Remember that Whistler to Pemberton is basically 20 miles downhill, followed by a 35 mile flat TT. IM Canada held the crown as the hardest N. American IM bike course after they nerfed the Cabo course. That title was very short lived as the Tahoe course was even harder than Whistler. |
